  1. Think it is possible but there isn’t a ground pad so you will have to solder between a couple of components - see the MX series manual https://www.zimo.at/web2010/documents/MX-small-decoders_EN.pdf page 7……
  2. We are holding a Diesel Gala - but PeterPan will also be in action. Leighton Buzzard Narrow Gauge Railway has a large collection of internal combustion powered locos as well as one battery loco. We usually aim to just run steam trains on our operating days - the air-brake fitted diesels are usually on standby in case of a kettle failing. Link to the website page below - more details when published - the plan is to form three passenger sets from the usual two so an intensive service. More details when they become available. https://www.buzzrail.uk/special-events/diesel-gala-with-a-hint-of-steam/
  3. Digitrax DB210 Booster - boxed - with screw terminal connector and manual. Good working condition - cosmetically perfect. £110 including free Royal Mail Special Delivery. Ask for overseas shipping costs. Happy to answer any questions.

  5. You can never have too much LocoNet gear!
  6. Second one now upgraded. One now listed on eBay!
  7. My first one has now been tested - could run trains and program from LocoNet throttle - connected to home WiFi - connected to JMRI over WiFi and could program from there - also LocoNet monitor was displaying messages - connected iPad to WiThrottle…. So all very successful!
  8. What is the problem? It may be a very simple fix…… I have been using Digitrax Command Stations since 1999….
  9. My code arrived in under 2 hours. Will hopefully test tomorrow….
  10. My two YD9401 modules arrived this morning - waiting for activation key for first one. I picked up a Digikeijs bundle on eBay (2 x DR5000 and 4 x DR5088RC) - it was the DR5088RC units that I was looking for. I have a use for one DR5000/YD7001…..
  11. Is it only slow to respond to throttle changes - do horns take the same long time to sound or do they respond immediately?

    DCC Sound

I have quite a few locos with Zimo sound decoders in them - I have remapped sounds to get them on easily accessible buttons - horns and whistles, brakes, drain cocks, fireman shovelling, blowers and injectors on steam locos - try to standardise sounds and functions to specific buttons - sound on/off F1, brakes F2, horns and whistles on F3 and F4 and so on…..
  13. No - haven’t got a DT602 - only had a bunch of Daisys….. I have used a DT602 a few times - they are more friendly to new users than the DT400/500 series - are the buttons able to be set to latched or momentary?
  14. Another vote for the Daisy 2. I only use functions F0 - F8 remapping the ones that will actually use so that we only need one page - the wireless option works, it uses 868MHz and it has worked well at big shows. My exhibition layouts have Digitrax DCS240 command stations and I do have a DT402 just in case for programming or status editing at shows but it doesn’t get used very often. The Daisy is easy and comfortable to use in one hand,
  15. How have you connected the stay-alive? My guess is that the stay-alive is connected to the track input of the decoder not to the positive and ground - it charges up and when track power is removed the stay-alive is seen as a DC supply……
  16. Just checked - they changed in 1971 - I was still at school and in the electronics club we ordered from Radiospares - memories of the paper catalogue - I have used them since then - just hadn’t really noticed that they had changed the name…….
  17. They still are in use…… We have lots of Rugga skips and similar ones at Leighton Buzzard…. A very simple wagon for moving minerals, sand, clay……
  18. I use these… They aren’t cheap - Radiospares - about £60 - but are brilliant - from decoder wires to 13 Amp mains cables - no adjustment needed - if I lost them I would replace them without a thought!
  19. Probably just do some tests program to an address then test with point motors attached….. Looks like you can’t adjust anything apart from address - if the units work with your point motors of choice then maybe find more modern units?
  20. Yes - might be setting blocks….. I built 4 MERG Accessory Decoders 20 years ago - they were programmed on the programming track but I can’t remember how the addresses were set - they did work really well though….
