Maybe. Or is the rubber seal around the window slightly thicker on the prototype?
In which case this surely can be easily remedied.

I see your point about the destination blind. The picture I got off the net "could" have been taken whilst tilt mode was active.
However, Philou's comment about the door window needs addressing.

Well ill ignorance is bliss... & fools and their money...!
it is not my fault you can't see the obvious. It doesn't take make searching the Internet to see that the small window by the drivers door is clearly wrong! It should not be vertical, it should be angled. Also, the grilles look more like Windows on the 3D scan.

Well both you and DJM have never seen an APT-P then as the 3D print he is holding is clearly wrong as there is one obvious error. He is probably hiding another by his right hand. If say that as why hold it if there wasn't something wrong that he was trying to hide? Why not sit it on a flat surface to photograph it?
He must have added a door where there shouldn't have been one. If so, have can errors occur when it was supposed to be scanned!

If you count the number of grilles of the engine room by Cab A of the prototype. The yellow stripe lines up correctly with the model which Brian Daniels has done.
As for the position of the nameplate Brian will defiantly positioned this correctly. If you reduce the height of the stripe then it will not align correctly with the bottom of the cab windows and doors given unless you want unproptionate Hoover.

The Class 33 at LR is 33053 & not 33350 as listed. Also the Class 58 is 58016 and not 58018 as also incorrectly listed.

Just a bit confused as there is an O Gauge Class 42 (DCC) showing on the website but not a Legoman sound recording. As I am not expecting the O Gauge models to be with the guys until then Doncaster O Gauge show. I wanted to see what the sounded like in person as hearing it on a laptop/PC doesn't give a good representation of how good a recording is as I am sure you are aware.
If I can hear the 00 Gauge version then I can get a rough idea and I am aware any files available for the 00 gauge chips can be transferred for the O Gauge. Although at some point I am sure Legonman will be out at some point to record new versions of these engines.

Please can I ask about the Southern Region Inspection Saloon Caroline 975025 which you produce?
Is this being produced in a choice of liveries and a choice of either with Wipac lights of with the Headcode box?
Originally the saloon carried BR Blue and Grey livery with two character route destination code boxes.
Then it was latter repainted into Network South East livery still with the same route code boxes.
Then when owned by DRS it was first repainted into a light shade of Southern Green keeping the route code box.
Finally in its current guise it was repainted into the darker Southern Green and gained the WIPAC lights as fitted to the DRS Class 37's. The route code boxes being removed and plated over both of which carried the name 'Caroline'.
I would be interested in a RTR SR Inspection Saloon and I am interested to know if the Inspection Saloon in its current form is the one only available?

Hi Charlie/Ian/Richard,
Recently I was watching a YouTube video of your Hornby Class 56 which I think Richard had fitted it with an EM2 speaker facing upwards and a Zimo Single Dumbo Speaker in the tanks. It advised it was the best sounding class 56 and you had to hear it on the stand.
As I will be going to BRM Doncaster this Sunday, is it possible that you could bring this along to the show along with a sound fitted Class 42 Warship please?
I would be interested in hearing what these sound like as before having them put on a suitable O Gauge Chip.
The one for the Class 56 would be for a DJH/PRMRP Kit and the Class 42 Warship is for the current Heljan model.

I used to have a DC Gaugemaster 4x track controller and two HF Track cleaners and these worked well for me.
AFAIK these cannot be used if you have a DCC controller and DCC stock from what I learned at an exhibition.

Are you saying HSTs are taller than 180s?
If not why would they need route clearing or have they lowered the suspension on the 180s so they fit under these limited clearance bridges which you appear to be the only one who knows about them?

I'm informed that the Hull Hire-in will now be happening. The former OC32 set - 5 of it's vehicles are currently "stored" in Long Rock will be used with, According to Rail Forums, the allocated power cars will be 43165 and 43190 - subject to the usual.
There also seems to be some to-ing and fro-ing of stored sets happening this week, with 2 complete sets joining the buffet cars in storage in Landore - although these will be rotated pending service requirements with one set coming out of store again this week and running straight back to Devon where it was pressed into service.

Yes Hulltrains staff may have to be trained into how to crew a HST set both on train on on the platforms but she gives the impression passengers in Hull or travelling from London up the East Cost do not know how to board slam door stock.
British Rail have been running HST's to Hull since the Deltics ended on the ECML. The odd one has also run up to Scarborough on the Hull to Beverley line and the Network Rail HST runs monthly to Hull.
The only place a gauging run would possibly be required is into each platform at Hull and also on the Hull to Doncaster route to check clearances. HT tend to run out of one platform but there is no reason why they need to stick with said platform as the early 6am/7am to London goes from the longest platform which all the charters and Royal Train uses.
The Doncaster route may need checking not so much platform clearances but more to do with rail heights as Network Rail doesn't always remove all the old ballast before laying the new ballast or replacement track. So in some places the clearances under bridges have been restricted due to their odd practice. Hull being a prime example.

Has anyone noticed if the Heljan O Gauge Disc Fitted Class 20's price have gone crept back up in price to £450.
I thought that earlier in the week these were £420 and it seemed strange for the price to be going back up two weeks before the offer expires.

If Heljan do a 14 I hope it's a bit more robust than the OO version, those steps in particular are very fragile. The whole loco has the feel of a plastic kit that has been assembled in the factory rather than being supplied on sprues!
I'd build a DJH one in a heartbeat if it wasn't so flippin expensive. I would not expect Heljan to charge much less though .....
I don’t think you would be saying that you would build one every again once you did build a DJH as I have heard there are a pig to construct.

A class 14 was rumored a couple of years ago, the story was that a retailer vetoed it as having poor sales potential.....so they got the class 05 and 'Falcon' instead! Just a matter of time I suspect.

As I mentioned before... How can a retailer know whether an Eastern Region locomotive suitable for smaller micro layouts and with plenty of preserved examples for reference compared to a single engine mainly only seen in a small section of the Western Region and struggles to sell. It is also the only model despite heavy discounting there are still large numbers on Ebay, and most large model shops and even Heljan couldn't shift all their stock at Telford at the Guildex show.
I don't know who or when people were polled but I know plenty of people who a) didn't buy falcon b) had no intention of purchasing falcon c) had a class 14 been available would have purchased multiple models.

I thought Neville Hill serviced the Hull Pulman HST set each night?
It has been reported tonight on BBC Look North - Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire that one of the Managers from Hulltrains has posted video on YouTube of a video of a 1970's spare set which has been hired in (obviously a HST) for training.
No pictures from the video as it just showed the Class 180 units in the article. Nothing on HT Website, Facebook Page or Twitter feeds.

Hull Trains are apparently to get 2x Short HST sets to cover the Adelantes. 1 Duty and 1 Standby, to last until the 802s are on the scene.
Well the Adelantes are still breaking down and Hull Trains are keep having to cancel services fairly regularly.
We are in December and I have not seen any HST Sets on test yet so whether it is just between London and Doncaster like when 86101 was hired in or whether it will work the full service is yet to be seen.
I might get to see this Tuesday when I head to London for the day if HT was one before Xmas.

Currently we have the ZZA Independant Snowploughs and the Beilheck Snowploughs.
I have seen pictures from the 1970's/1980's from Scotland with locomotives fitted with the plough from what is now part of Beilheck Snowploughs.
Basically they were tested on the front of Class 20's, and class 37's but these tests were unsuccessful and were later fitted to the class 40 & class 45 bogies as they remain today.
My question put simply is that I wanted to model a loco fitted with one of these snowploughs in the early 1980's. Is there anyone who does 3D printing who has considers printing just the plough to fit to the front of a OO Gauge or O Gauge model?

Under the picture of the Class 60 it says check the Railway Press for details of new versions!?! Surely a misprint or caption under the wrong picture?
