  1. Non at all, I'm into heavy metal after all.
  2. It is very fetching, even if an operational APT-E would've burned through the countries fuel reserves in about a week and given everyone tinnitus in the meantime.
  3. So the New A1/3s are out and about, anyone had a chance to look one over and report back?
  4. Well you better get after them, always have to keep one eye on shipping containers, no telling what they'll get up to when your backs turned.
  5. noticeable split in the running plate.
  6. Oh thank goodness its back, I was having to engage members of the family in actual conversations, ugh, never again.
  7. Well I've gone for 103 (no sound) and 106 (with sound).
  8. Eh, no so bad, bit of a stretch to get into the cab, but how else are you going to get your leg exercises in?
  9. Oh not that old chestnut, though perhaps period appropriate tea flasks would be nice. There is something very cat like about GWR 4-6-0s.
  10. Well, I’ll wait and see and hope for the best.
  11. I suppose I might add my own idea for the Scottish Central Railway, which isn't actually an imaginary railway, it even still exists, its the Perth to Stirling Line. Instead its an Imaginary Railway (company). Basically the SCR was planning on merging with the Edinburgh and Glasgow railway, to gain eventual access to, well I'll let you find out for yourselves. The merger was avoided in our time due to, its a little unclear, the E&GR threw a hissy fit over some timetabling, the SCR was swallowed by the Caledonian and the E&GR when to the North British, the rest is as they say. So the SCR in my mind, keeps things cushy with the E&GR, or someone falls off a horse at an impromptu moment. The merger goes ahead, the SCR builds its own terminus in Glasgow, snaps up the NBR (somehow) while the Caledonian goes the wrong way north and stays stuck on the West Coast. Thoughts?
  12. 9Fs didn’t have any internal valve gear, mind you, even a representation of a frame spacer would be impressive.
  13. It would appear that @Hilux5972 was right after all. A screenshot from my Facebook feed. No the link doesn’t work either.
  14. Would that be to prevent the middle wheel from moving further than the two, just to picture what I think you mean?
  15. Somewhat off topic tangent, but, Why are GT3s wheels quartered? I.e the connecting rods offset by 90 degrees, like a steam locomotives. This is apparent even on conventional diesel-mechanicals, such as the 08. Why? I understand why quartering was used on steam machines, but why on liquid fuelled machines, when the only purpose of a connecting rod would be to transmit driving motion. Is there a mechanical need that I'm missing? Or is it a mere artefact of steam days? ScR
  16. Well nothing to run it on at the likely for all time moment, so no worries.
  17. I think I’ve been given a DCC version by accident.
  18. If I had one, instead I have my Mother and Sister to contend with, so I'm not entirely certain it wouldn't be an improvement.
