They both really nice! Shame I can't get to Tutbury today. I'm intrigued by the couplings between the coaches though. Are they magnetic? Could you write a few words about them? Or have you done that already elsewhere?

I can only echo everyone else's comments. It's great to see some more pictures of it. I think about this layout most days when I take my children to school as I have to go past Highclere station to get to their school!

Hi Graham,
On my Farish 150 I have used two of Dapol's short buckeye couplers, although they're a bit of a pain to couple they look better than Farish's. There is a miniscule increase in length over the short Farish couplers, which if memory serves were too short to use when I tried them. The corridor connections still almost touch, but the unit can manage curves, not trainset curves but as sharp as you'll need with 2mmFS. It also helps that there are no buffers to lock.
Looking forward to seeing more.

Pete, If you're interested in improving 37417, there is an article in the May-June 1994 issue of Modelling Railways Illustrated about detailing the Farish 37, including lowering it. If you'd like a copy of the article I could scan it and email it to you.
Hi Pete,

Thanks for the lowering tips. I lowered both of my 37s last night. I was surprised how quickly I was able to do it. However, what did you do to the cab detail to allow it to be replaced and still have a lowered body?

David

With all these passengers having arrived at the station, does that we’ll have to run more/some passenger trains this weekend?!!
