I see Alphonso Bonso has been bounced for his driving.

I think Alonso should have been disqualified as it was NO POINTS for GR as a direct result of his dirty tactics.

Must have been a heavy appendix if the weight drop has shaved that much of a lap. Before you know it they'll be having them removed 😂
And other parts that may be deemed surplus to requirements. 😃

And if Sainz beats Leclerc again tomorrow, it will be a strait 2 out of 2, which it looks like he could do.

I can’t believe that estate cars are not available anymore.
why do they now all look the same?
at least you can still get the layout in
Peugeot still do one, but its BIG and Megga Bucks. Us poor modellers can't afford some of the silly prices of Cars, we have more Locos to buy. 🙄

Cheers Clive, actually this one was filmed a couple of weeks back, but was still "in the can" as they say.
Not sure if the 24 minute version from me / "CHANCE ENCOUNTER" has been aired, other than on my own thread. Filmed over two weeks of Jam Sessions with NO rehearsals before hand, just strait in and a first take.

And so, Tonleigh Bridge was loaded this morning and left for its Journey to Welsh Wales, to reside quietly in the upper floor of a Barn. I hope the new owner enjoys it as much as I intended to, and can develop it further in years to come.

One new purchase this week. I think it might need a little weathering. 😥

Following the Saudi GP, Max Verstappen's car underwent more extensive physical inspections. This included checks on suspension dampers, engine air intake system, oil and coolant system, change air cooling, and all sensors related to these systems.
All components were found to be in compliance with the regulations.
RANDOMLY CHOSEN? YEAH RIGHT HO, I BELIEVE THEM.

Back again.
Recently whilst upgrading some locos for Ropley I also made a start on some wagons that have been waiting for sometime!
When Cavalex released the warflats (2 years ago?) I purchased 8 for Tidworth with a view to replacing the Genesis ones I have been using but to date they haven't been seen. So finally they have had the wooden decks painted and weathered ready for permanently loading four of them with vehicles, chocks and tiedowns and having four empties.
Firstly all 8 had the wooden decks painted with various browns and then weathered with washes and powders follwed with some dry brushed grey to give the bleached wood look.
With futher weathering of the bogies and underframes they are now ready for loading in time for the Exeter show all being well.
AND, Thanks to Ian's generosity I have the loan of 4 of his old Kit Built Warflats and 3 x Land Rovers ready for the start of my next project in my much reduced POD. Cheers Ian, they will be part of the Fleet again soon.

O.K., Tonleigh Bridge is now SOLD, so this will be the Last official post.
Before I can start the new Layout / Topic, here's a Video of what has been keeping me busy over the last few Months. This was just from 2 Open Mic nights, so totally un rehearsed. Tony / Singer / Guitarist and I will be out soon at Pubs etc, as "CHANCE ENCOUNTER" once we have a permanent Drummer.
THANKS once again Guys.

Looking again this morning, I think the left corner will be more like Ian / @Temeraire "Tidworth" Layout, rather than the Dubmill Sidings older style as show above. It will be more in keeping with my 90's Stock. NOT a copy, but more of that Modern style.

Just a thought and it's not confined to any scale but you could always do what I did and build a layout that can only be erected in the garden or other suitable flat area.
It has plenty of downsides like only be operated on a fine day although if it wasn't too big you can always get some gazebos to cover it whilst operating. When not in use you could store in the pod and still have room for a workbench. I put mine on trestles I got from Amazon. You've seen the videos. Its not ideal but its better than nothing.
We are looking to move and one of the tick boxes has to be somewhere I can easily operate the layout perhaps by having it half up in the garage and then erecting the rest when I want to run it.
Trouble is we can't sell our house due to the dire market conditions.
Paul
Hi Paul, Our passage way alongside the Bungalow is far to narrow anyway, certainly not wide enough to carry any boards from the POD located in the front of the bungalow to the rear, or operate at the front. Nice idea though. Cheers.
Good luck with your sale, I'm not moving again having lived in I think its 23 properties, of which I've owned, bought and sold about 18 since I was 26.

Some people just have no imagination you know Andy :) If its the passenger element .. how about a parcels unit :)
Hi Rich, I do have a Parcels Bay in mind actually. I'm looking at a combination of three inspiring Layouts for the size I will have. I will probably end up with about 11ft long (2ft wide boards) with a Fiddle Yard on the left at 90 degrees of about 5ft. so "L" shape and inspiration has come from these three sources.
The main inspiration is 4mm Canada St, a simple yard for sorting arrival and departure. Not to dissimilar to my current Yard, but not a through Yard.
The second inspiration is from the Gresley Clubs 7mm Hawkins Lane Goods. The Cooperage in the top right will be a Steelworks for me, and the inclusion along the top / back of the Layout for a small Oil Depot, similar to the one just outside of Alton Station on the Waterloo Line.
The Third inspiration comes again from a 7mm Layout, this time, Dubmill Sidings, taking the Warehouse and Yard on the bottom / front left of the Layout for Parcels and General Goods.

Micro O gauge Andy! I know you desperately wanted a 58!!!
Paul R
A 58 would go about 18 inches each way. If I were to be STUPID it would be an 08 and a few wagons, but I have so much OO Stock spare Points and Track, Vehicles and Buildings it would be silly to swap back again. BUT never say never, as the next one is being built to Sell on and able to Exhibit, (NOT BY ME). So maybe one day, I might go back to "O". Cheers once again Paul, for planting seeds. 😅
