The Train Tech GK1 ground signal is a much more realistic shape and can be wired with two reds and white or two whites and one red,

Hi all,
is it ok to use 'Humbrol Acrylic paint Thinners' with other brands of acrylic paints?
Thank in advance

I have three of the PPI 14 units on my layout, I wired them as per the instructions and have had no problems at all with them, all of the Blocksignalling items I have seem very reliable, contact Steve Heaton at BlockSignalling I am sure he will be able to get you sorted out.

Do you want to model coach-bolt heads, or bolt heads on coaches? If it's the former, most of the ones I've noticed have been hammered into the timbers so the heads are more or less flush with the surface.
Bill, its model coach bolt heads I am after

A quite rare Duple Dominant 3 on a Bedford chassis that's actually now preserved.
The coach company is still in business based in Annitsford Northumberland.

Great photos of West Blyth David, I have an uncle who was based in the lower yard offices. These photos bring back great memories.
Thanks for posting

Has anyone who has pre-ordered their copy of issue 10 had their delivery yet?

The Eckon EL 1 yard lamps are nice, they come in kit form and are powered by 12v, they use small bulbs so they are not overly bright, they appear on Ebay from time to time.

Hi all,
I am about to build the above kit and was wondering if anyone knows if there are any commemoration transfers for the plaques on the war memorial?
Thanks in advance

Just a quick update, floodlight is working fine now.

Further to my question regarding the above yard floodlight, I have removed a small section of the metal 'stem' this has revealed what I believe to be four enamelled wires which I assume is one wire for each LED, these are wired via a resistor to 12V positive and the 'stem' itself has a wire soldered to it which goes to the negative.
I have no experience of working with enamelled wire, is there anything that I need to do with the wire before I can solder a resistor to the wires ( I was thinking of a 1K resistor) since I dont know what the correct resistor value should be.
Thanks again for any input.

Thanks for your reply, there are wires at the top which I assume connect to the Leds and I think there are wires down to the base but not exposed, also, the light did not come with the circuit board shown in the video.
-
I came across one of the above yard lamps cheap at an exhibition, as there are no wires coming out of the base I decided to have it as a 'just for show' depot floodlight.
I started wondering if the light will actually work as the LEDs look to be intact but as there are no wires to connect it to a 12V power supply I dont know how I can test it, if anyone can give me an idea how to do this that would be great
Thanks in advance.
