I'd be asking for the same as one of my great great grandfathers was from Sligo... But unfortunately, I don't think that qualifies me :-(

      DavidLong

you only needed to ask once but indeed he is. When he's allowed out of the treatment room . . .

At the time when it was rumoured that Sturridge might leave Liverpool for Arsenal, the joke was that he would be a natural fit with Wilshere....in the treatment room.

  4. is getting increasingly irritated by Google animations.

I have Google set up as my default search engine in Firefox's search text box. I never see the Google animations because I never see the main Google page... :-)

You're back there again (so soon)! Just like a second day at a show, perfect for catching up on those bits of gricing we missed last weekend... :-)

  6. Seems that the Shapeways site didn't like my Explorer browser. Tried Chrome and no problem. Weird. Never had that happen before!

      Phil Copleston

I believe Shapeways will over-print objects with a metal coating too - errr, chrome or otherwise ;-)

  7. Given up trying to order from Shapeways. Horrible site.

  9. Where did 'smokebox dart' come from? Aren't they just smokebox door handles so why not just call them what they are?

I don't know but it is something which has long puzzled me (like lots of other expressions used by railway modellers).

It's the sense of scale that gets to me. Igglepiggle and co seem massive beside the ninky nonk when it drives past the bandstand, yet they seem very small when thy are inside. The Night Garden must really distort space-time!

Other alternative should be considered, like the nearest skip!

  20. Following on from 'train station' we now seem to have the even more ghastly 'train tracks'. I'd say that it sounds like something a six year old would write but that would be to insult a lot of intelligent six year olds . . .

The several I once owned before selling my N gauge stuff were superb runners. If anyone is buying them for 009 chassis I'd say they know exactly what they're doing.

    4. DavidLong

009 may be a plausible explanation.

  25. Reading 'Britain's New Railway' (1966). You can tell it is 1966 because Mr.Nock refers to problems and not challenges ;-)

Finally caught up with it almost 50 years after the event. Discovered that Nock took BRB's shilling to write it.
