  1. Having studied the line and walked most of it, not to mention stood on the platforms in the early 1990's before they were demolished, I would certainly agree that you have more than captured the feel and look. I look forward to seeing it in the flesh - hopefully at MK later in the year. ATVB Gary
  2. How did it go today? Was hoping to get over to MK to see "Towcester" but other matters intervened. Was going to ask how much you compressed the layout by and how you decided what should "go". One day I hope to see it in the flesh.
  3. Just found this thread and I take my hat off to you. A remarkable bit of work! "More power to your elbow" as they say!
  4. Olney bridge is No.149 (and still extant) I know the Towcester bit very well and have visited most of the remaining line. (See SMJR site photos) Stonking bit of work ATVB G
  5. She would have worked on a through freight service. The 8F on the GCR was also seen on the line as was the 4F on the KWVR. There is loads of info on the SMJR site.
  6. Great layout and enjoying following it thus far. As an aside did you know that 43106 (as seen on SVR) actually ran through Towcester in her active days?
  7. Fantastic layout. Hope to get to see it one day. I am one of the chaps on the SMJR site and was pointed to this from there. Nice to see a model of bridge 149 (Olney branch one) after taking a number of photos of it in the hope someone could model it one day. I once tried Towcester to full scale in N and i was huge! I did not get far sadly especially asI moved house twice and the boards were sadly nottransported well and the trackwork damaged so it was all scrapped in the end sadly. ATVB G
