  1. May I enquire as to the maker of the dumb buffered wagon kits please. John Bruce.
  2. John, glad to hear that Alexander yard is still going strong. I was lucky enough to see the layout at the pre-grouping show they did at Chippenham a good few years ago. Thank you John.
  3. Well done on the move Ian, are you still in the village....sorry town. See you at Southampton, I'll be there with my small EM layout....probably in the dining hall! John.
  4. Thank you very much for all your posts on Tweedale, it really does look stunning. Good luck with Mk2 as and when. John.
  5. I too have one of these beasties to build, I know a gentleman in the Colonel Stephens Society who helped with the research for this kit and he too was disapointed not to have the option of the four wheel tender. I'm still half wondering about the tender as mine is not intending to be a model of Carlisle, good luck guys. John Bruce.
  6. I think I miss the "free to a good home" section.

  9. Must say I'm impressed with the motor bogie, well done. Also well done on the "impulse" buy, as you say a nicer design than the later Austerity. Regards John.
  10. There I was beavering away on my RT Models Sentinel when I realised (not very bright this one!) I had in total three Sentinels on the go at various stages. A Hornby one that has had a repaint and awaits re-assembly, transfers, flush glazing and etched wipers. A freelance double cab version from TB for the 009 which sits on a Kato chassis, and of course the RT version still being built. Which when finished will be in a pale blue livery as my old 7mm scale Impetus one was years ago. Enough tapping of keys....back to the work in hand. John.
  11. What are these people on????? John.
  12. Job gone down the pan!

  14. How have I missed this....layout (seems such a poor description to use), this is brilliantly imaginative. i look forward to reading & seeing more. John.
  15. If its of any interest one load that was moved in wooden barrels from Tidworth military camp in the early days was (if you'll pardon the description) dog excrement from the kennels! Apparently this was used in the leather tanning process. John.
  16. Love the cottages in the 3rd photograph. John.
  17. Perhaps they got the decimal point in the wrong place John.
  18. Ah yes, I think I can see what you mean. A neat solution to the otherwise"fixed" axle. Thanks John.
  19. Hi, with regard to your removable rear axle and its bearings, how are you stopping the bearings from rotating? John.
  20. Is not the "gearbox" to give 4 wheel drive? John.
  21. I look forward to seeing what you come up with for this chassis. John.
  22. Hi Ian, I've used the same material for the extensive cobbled streets on my 009 layout. How did you achieve the clearance for the wheel flanges? John.
  23. Yes Captain these introductions are always interesting and perhaps a little fraught. Perhaps she was waiting for the "blue box" to move before doffing it with a paw! John.
