Presumably the Royal Train is automatically prepped and put on standby in this situation?  Mind you there is also the part of the official plan that nobody has picked up on yet (and I hope does not actually get enabled) which is from tomorrow there is supposed to be ten days of official national mourning with ALL public events cancelled...

Hopefully the BBC won't pull Gardeners World tomorrow night like they did with the Duke of Edinburgh, that created a right Twitter Storm in Middle England!

    3. Pacific231G

      Pacific231G

Yes, it's a fairly well known code like inspector Sands.

On public events, the Royal Television Society, of which Charles has long been Royal Patron has postponed events and the BBC has pulled the Last Night of the Proms.

    4. The Stationmaster

      The Stationmaster

Technically it isn't 'operation London Bridge' but it is the code name for a series of plans - which are no doubt still reviewed regularly - for dealing with what is to be done in in respect of arrangements etc after the death of the Monarch (and which may also used for other very senior members of the Royal Family).

I have only ever seen, and was years ago involved in updating, one small - but quite important -  part of it and no doubt that is the case with many other organisations which are only interested in their ownparticular part of the overall plan.

Sounds like a report from a "Believe it or not!" book!

TBH  The only time I saw it in the flesh, it was in the workshops at the NRM when they were trying to fix it. Eventually they gave up and sent it to an outside contractor.

  10. I really do enjoy the sound of 37's but not when getting woken up at 3am by an unnecassery blast of full throttle and then again at 6am

last night i looked up the name Cristine Arlum on Twitter and some posts came up going back as far as 2015 that she has used a few names, one impersonating a european teen model Emily and more of these come up if you look for Lisa Jeweller, using these accounts soliciting photos of underage models such as the one used on here

these are just 4 of them

I think we can assume this one slipped through the net.  Anyone having made contact in any way should probably remove all links and reset passwords as a precaution.  If it doesn't seem right it probably isn't right.

  13. Please could magazines stop perpetuating the now debunked myth that the loco now known as lion is from the Liverpool & Manchester (looking at you model rail 320)

      sir douglas

It is not known for sure, the LMS found remains of an old loco and just assumed it was an L&M and gave it the name Lion even though all the main dimensions are different to the actual Lion, there were 4 other locos bought by the docks which more closely match

Very interesting article in the last Heritage Railway describing the background to this "myth".  Must admit it was news to me.
