  1. Some good news for those still waiting for items from MM, the website is back up!!! Hurrah. The site also says the telephone is back but I haven't tried this. I did say I was happy to be corrected.
  2. For info the MM website has been down for a couple of days. I attempted to send Jim an email but that has bounced. I also tried telephoning but there was no response and the message queue was full. I think it might be best to sadly assume that MM has finally closed down for good. I am aware that Jim was not in the best of health but he clearly was dedicated enough to the hobby to try and continue. Unfortunately his best intentions were misguided in that it has caused problems and financial losses for many modellers. If at some time Jim reads or hears about this and wishes to correct my assumptions then I will be happy to reinstate his entry in the Directory. But as from today I have marked MM as closed down.
  3. Just been advised by the owner that they permanently closed in November 2021 but they have not put a message to that effect on their website. The website is still live, shows stock and orders can be placed but the owner states payments cannot be made. Unfortunately I have received several complaints that this might be incorrect and people have been able to pay for orders since they allegedly closed down. I have today marked the business as permanently closed in the Directory.
  4. Worked for me fine on a Digitrax Zephyr DCS51. You need to call up the existing loco number, say #3. Then change the programming mode to OPS, then type in the number you want. I was changing my number from #03 to #1939. First you need to change CV29 then CV17, then CV18. You need to use the spreadsheet calculator from the MTH wesbite in the news article to calculate the values for CV17 & 18. Here is how I did address #1939: Put the loco on the main, called up address #3 and got the sound working. Pressed the program mode until OPS was showing, pressed the CV button to get a lowercase 'o' in the LH of the display, then pressed 29 to select that CV #, then pressed the CV button again to get a lowercase 'd' in the LH of the display, then pressed 34 to program that value into CV29 (I turn off DC operation). Then pressed the CV button again to get the lowercase 'o' in the LH of the display, then pressed 17 to select that CV #, then pressed the CV button again to get a lowercase 'd' in the LH of the display, then pressed 199 to program that value into CV17. Then pressed the CV button again to get the lowercase 'o' in the LH of the display, then pressed 18 to select that CV #, then pressed the CV button again to get a lowercase 'd' in the LH of the display, then pressed 197 to program that value into CV17. It took me about 10 times longer to write the above than to actually do it. Honest it is easy when you work it out. Edit: Meant to add I did do this on BLAST Mode Programming on the DCS51.
  5. Tried contacting the secretary of this club several times between 2015 and 2018 but did not receive a response. Therefore I can only assume they have closed down.
  6. The Raymond Walley website has gone.
  7. Is it possible to remove or correct out of date links in RMweb? For example I believe SD Mouldings There are several links to removed or changed pages in the Directory and I was wondering if it is possible to change them please. No worries if not it just means people will not be able to see the correct info. For example in topic 18653 I believe SD Mouldings closed down in 2015.
  8. Good news, following work last night and this morning, I have managed to amend the coding so that when the popup window is removed the links already provided will continue to work. What they do now is take you to the specific kit on the Judith Edge main page. Thanks to everyone who brought this to my attention as I was keen to ensure that those links were not broken.
  9. It is because the system uses session variables. So when you are first sent to the main page the session variable is set thus allowing the the pop up page to appear when you go back to the link. Unfortunately it is not possible to make them separate pages but all the info required is on the main page anyway. The popup windows were an original idea to allow larger images to be displayed without taking up a large amounts of space on the main page. With the advent of systems such as Lightbox it is now possible to display larger images as an overlay. This has been done with many other pages on the site such as the eLayout listings and will be rolled out to the Judith Edge page shortly. It is needed to remove security vulnerabilities in the system. Hope this helps.
  10. The reason it is happening that way is because the kits are on pop up windows and not specific pages. Hence the pop up pages only work from the Judith Edge main page. Just go to the main page and search down for the kit you wish to view. Please be aware that for security reasons these pop windows are scheduled to be replaced by the Lightbox system soon but I will ensure the old links are redirected to the main page. Hope this helps.

Looks like they have closed down as the website has gone and they aren't responding to any emails. -- Regards, Adrian Hall ---------------------------------- THE UK Model Shops Directory **British Model Railway Awards** **Website of the Year 2019** --------------------------------- http://www.ukmodelshops.co.uk ----------------------------------

  14. Just want to say thank you to everyone who voted for the UK Model Shop Directory as Website of the Year. This reflects on all the many friends I have out there in all the Clubs, Societies and Businesses who support my work by sending in the information that keeps this hobby alive. 15. Hi All, This information has only just been brought to my attention as sadly the organisers have failed to keep me informed despite the fact that I always send all submitters an acknowledgement email with a link where they can very easily keep the details and me updated. Failing that, as OldNick has said, a simple email is all that was required. It has now been marked as cancelled. What I want to know is why they couldn't keep me informed?
