  1. From the 1957 film "Hell Drivers" comes the real star of the film in 1/43rd scale - The Dodge Parrot Nose tipper truck as driven by Stanley Baker. The film also starred Patrick McGoohan, Gordon Jackson, Alfie Bass, William Hartnell, Sean Connery, Jill Ireland, David McCallum and even Sid James and Herbert Lom. This is a photograph of the test build and has a slightly different version of the "Hawletts" paint scheme compared to those in the film for the purposes of clarity and definition. Now available from Radley Models.
  2. I've just received the new resin kit from ARC Models for the RSH 0-6-0T as featured here; http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/76530-arc-models-new-range-of-4mm-scale-products/?p=1384213 It's designed to fit on an RTR chassis but I'm interested in building my own chassis. I've been unable to track down a drawing or even basic dimensions. Does anybody have such, or know where I might find them? A drawing would be the ideal but, in the least, I'd like to know the wheel diameters and axle spacings. Any ideas? Thanks
  3. After a period of inactivity on the G16 project, I have now done a little more detailing work. This was to add a wire run (or is it an oil pipe run?) from the front of the tank to the bulge over the cylinders on each side plus the start of what will be the clack valves on each side. For the latter I have used a thickish brass wire with some fibre washers intended for valve gear applications. Next, I will add a little Milliput to the tops followed by another of those fibre washers. The photos show this work to date, with apologies for the blurriness of the first pic. Those wire/pipe runs are deliberately kinked and wavy - photos of the real ones show this to be so.
