Interiors for buildings in OO/HO scale

Recommended Posts

never keen to do interiors, too much time to construct unless it was for my own purpose.

Me niether Peter.

Just something colourful cut out of a catologue, glued down to a backboard and set well back inside from the shop window. Just don't light it !

Cheers.

Allan.

Those are some nice buildings there. Those ones around the market square, are they scratchbuilt or kits? If they are kits who makes them? I'm kinda looking around at adding some additional shops for my layout.

They are all scratch built, if you look at Barkham Green  layout you will see the Market Square being built

You can also see progress on the station shops so far, although things have slowed down due to Holidays Gardening, looking after Grandchildren

I usually put an interior or two into my model buildings (even though - frequently - they can be barely be glimpsed through the windows of the finished model.

Here are some examples:

Have you checked out John Otts website? He has created a model railroad (cos he's an  American) based on the horror writings of H.P. Lovecraft, and his interior details are the quirkiest ever!:

The whole layout (and layout description on his site) is brilliant fun. Hands up who else has incorporated into their layout a cameo of the Thursday morning squid auction?

Does anyone know how or where I can get some items for specific shops? Things like DIY shops and bakery shops. Things like that are what I'm looking for to go into my shops. I got the scalescenes interiors kit and have put it to good use.
