For the drive and bogies for the DVT's modified Farish 3 car 170 should be used as a starting point.

The bodies have not been designed to take the Farish 170 directly so some input from the modeller will be necessary.

For me info please contact me through my web site

Hi ,

What a lovely set of prints. I was at Reg Rail Central when these beasts started to roam the West Midlands, roam a big word as problems casued many a hiccup but now happily carry on mundane duties on the Crosscity and elsewhere.   A sound chip and speakers essential as they do sing.

Even Modellers of the  South  Manchester scene can enjoy some 323 fun now .

Thanks Pete for developing these models, looking forward to getting one rolling

Robert

Those are gorgeous looking bodyshells.  :good:

Please let me know if anyone would like my existing 323 vinyls adapting to fit - they are currently designed around the Farish 170 using the Etched Pixels conversion. I can offer all the major liveries including Centro, GMPTE, London Midland and Northern with all the variuous permutations of branding received over the years!

Hi ,

3D Prints at Dapol open day and admired by many, underfloor units available from BR lines but no sprinterish bogies with couplings as used on 158/170 so it will be TPM bogies. 170 chassis obtained - will go in an end vehicle as pan roof panel prevents use. I have inhand two old jars of Centro green and the cream/buff albeit not acrylic  so tried a test sample on roof inside of primered vehicel and dried ok with no reaction.

thanks for work done to introduce this Pete.

Robert had a set of them on his modelling table at the recent Dapol club day. Dapol are in no way involved with it, just providing a location for others to look at them in the flesh (so to speak).

They have got me thinking about buying a set for the spare 170 chassis I have here.

cheers, reading the post it seemed strange to mention Dapol as pete mentioned the prints use Bachmann/farish chassis etc and i wondered if Dapol had something to do with them now or indeed had an unannounced model on the horizon

Hi , Working on it - got chassis and some more parts, if world stands still long enough will try to get some paint on for Warley show case

- not promising though.

And sorry for confusion with Dapol mention ! It was  members club openday last Saturday and I had the kit plus a pile of bits on show as a works in progress discussion site!

I have now got my body shells, got to work out how the chassis will fit inside the bodies as they don't fit 'straight out of the box'. So got to get the cutting tools out.

Paints have been aquired, for some reason I thought London Midland would be a good idea.

Hi Alistair,

Look forward to seeing some photos of the finished item. London Midland will be a tricky masking job, what about the original delivery livery? Will you be posting a little step by step guide?

Best regards,

Jeremy
