Good to to you and the layout at Rainhill. Weather not the best. At least the M6 seemed quieter though. Following our discussion on wagons, the bogies are now done.

Look forward to the progress on layout, as you are now under less pressure to do more on it. Forget the wet weather, get modelling in the nice dry indoors.

I am Very Delighted with the response I got at the show about the layout considering I only got the baseboard kit on the 13th of August which makes the show only 15 week in to the build for its 1st show

still lots I want to do before its 2nd booked show in August 2016

  • 2 weeks later...

last week I ordered some pre made grass clumps from Tajima1 Miniatures on ebay http://stores.ebay.com/tajima1miniatures/

1st set was heather moss base http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/271693181324?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&var=570548963354&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

2nd set was XL lavender (which I am using as heather clumps) http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/271385151333?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&var=570259461076&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

well managed to wire up the signals & switch

Very easy to wire up there are 4 wires 2 yellow plus one red & one black

the red & black are wired to 16v AC & the 2 yellows go to the same push to make switch

To make the signal move you press the switch then when you want to move it back you press the switch again the part of the signal under the baseboard dose all the switching over

signals at red

Sorry, it's been a while since I last visited here.  So much more to see, and you've accomplished so much in that time!  I really like the heather on the rock terraces, which will contrast with the 'grey' areas of the layout.  I also like the fact that you aren't afraid to use large(ish) structures and buildings on the layout and they do seem to look as though they belong and blend in rather than dominate the scene.
