They mainly worked the St Ives branch. We also had the GW liveried set. They first ran as 3 car sets (DMBS/TSL/DMCL or DMBS/TSL/DMS) and then 2 car sets (DMBS/DMCL or DMBS/DMS). Class 158 productions Posted June 12, 2020 Share Posted June 12, 2020 Having 4 Dapol ones in my fleet, I’m excited for the Bachmann offering. However the Dapol one is a cracking model. I mentioned it a few times to Bif in the past - on his existing one you can't vary the length of the pull away in first gear. It was always much too short; OK for moving around the yard but no good for normal acceleration under load. Rest of the sounds were good IMO apart from the automatic rail clack cutting in which then didn't vary with different speeds. Also you couldn't change up through the gears manually. Sorry to be pernickety, just my personal observations. I completely agree, as someone who often defends price rises, due to the improvements in human rights,higher costs of living etc. I did not mean to come across as bashing Bachmann or saying why can’t we still have 2012 prices. However, my point was,not new models are overpriced (some can be questionable) it was just how interesting the price has risen, I took the 108 as it’s a Bachmann dmu that has been relatively unchanged, and has risen significantly. And we often forget how much models used to be, anyway back on topic, eagerly anticipating these dmus hoping Bachmann can do more variants in due course! 1 Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
