Oh sweet, I'd resigned myself to having to wait until summer. Time to dig out my rake of PLA wagons.
bigherb
Yes, I just had to authorise the price increase, I had the impression these had been further delayed, good news this is one I have been looking forward to.

neilkirby
Mine has turned up today, and I'm not particularly happy with it. The lining on the side of the cab is damaged with about 5 mm seemingly scraped off. (Not taken it out the box yet.) Ok, I can send this back for a replacement. but more disappointing for me personally is that all the lining is in a yellow/cream. when all of Hornby's images on their website show it to be white. I don't know what the PLA livery was, but mine isn't destined for the PLA. Regards, Neil
RMweb Gold NHY 581 Posted February 3, 2020 RMweb Gold Share Posted February 3, 2020 Popped into Lord and Butler today and the PLA locos had just arrived......and bought one I did. I have to say I'm very impressed. Nice runner and lovely livery. Looking forward to weathering it in due course. Rob.
bigherb
The West Kent Sand Co have been spending their money again and bought a Peckett from the PLA and named it Westerham. Here it is dwarfed by the brake van. Lovely smooth runner straight out of the box.

RMweb Gold Roy Langridge Posted February 12, 2020 RMweb Gold Share Posted February 12, 2020 Ran my PLA Peckett in today and it is the smoothest and quietest of all my Pecketts (6 of them). Pleased as I found the works version nowhere near as good a runner as the initial batch. Roy

How well do you think the colour compares to the sdjr blue? It might be my screen, but it looks a touch on the green side to me? 1
