"Big jim" modern diesel driver 3D print available through Modelu soon

Love it!

Just needs a maccy d bag alongside

Ive sent alan a message to try and arrange some more poses, got a few other drivers and groundstaff interested too so hopefully we can get something sorted

That would be great because at the moment, the postage nearly outweighs the unit cost. Once there is a greater variety, I can order sufficient to justify the postage.

Thanks!

I too have orderd a Big Jim to go in an Australian O scale loco but went for the 1:48 version so I don't have to cut jims legs off or anything that drastic, the cab interiors always seem to be smaller than 1:43.5 scale as 1:43.5 people rarely fit in.

So a medium 1:48 big Jim hopefully will be driving sorry resting in a Ozzy loco soon.

Hi all,

Scottish Modellers have the figures and will be doing a demonstration using them.

'Painting Model Figures - Begin with Black'.

This will be at Modelrail Scotland - FridaySat/Sun next weekend.

If you want to have a close look (before you order) - come and see us on our stand.

Thanks

Hi all,

The painting demonstration at Modelrail Scotland using these figures was a great success.

If anything - too much interest as it prevented progress at some times!

Anyway - the reception for the figures by the public was good, even better after explaining how the figures are created.

As a result of the interest I've been asked to do the same demonstration at another show.

Hopefully all this interest will result in more orders for Alan!

Thanks

He's getting his very own 'clone army', is Big Jim really Jango Fett Bounty Hunter? ;)

Look very good, so for a Signalman we need:-

Standing with duster.

At booking desk/ Panel.

Sat in armchair.

Stood in doorway with brew in hand.

;)

Hi Jim,

Will have photos - once I find where I buried the camera in the boxes/bags of show gear!

I know it's here somewhere - I remember packing it at the end of the show.

I left everything packed yesterday -  other things to do!

Thanks

Hi all,

Last night and todays excavation of the bags, boxes etc has resulted in finding the camera!

A good start - still need to find the lead to get stuff downloaded with.

Apologies for the delay

My normal prompt service will be resumed as soon as possible.

:O

HI Jim,

SECC halls are very dusty....

The butty box is good for several reasons!

1 - Stick the figures to the lid - gives an easy to grip handle to use when painting.

2 - The lid edge provides a steadying point to rest the paint hand on whilst painting.

3 - Once the lid is on it becomes a 'dust free' environment.

I tend to use these for a lot of projects - like wagon builds.

Keeps all the stuff together until you start building, then as a store of a built model until you get round to paining it.

Allows me to display stuff in a safe environment!

Keeps the dust off whilst paint/varnish dries.

That should answer the query.

Thanks
