Where do I find RTR LRV models

Recommended Posts

After a house move I now have a much smaller space and am giving up OO modelling after 50 years.

My most likely next step is N scale continental railway modelling but having been involved with life size LRV/LRT systems in my former career I thought I would just try and find out whether there is a viable selection of LRV's in N scale.

I would be grateful for a list of manufacturers of such models so I can decide whether this would be of interest to me.

Internet searches seem to be dominated by KATO and Japanese models - nice as they are I am not sure that is my scene.

Regards

Brian Martin

In N the Kato and Tomytec ranges are the biggest and several are good for European prototypes.

Tomytec need the chassis buying separately but it takes about a minute to fit.

Here's my effort using the Kato system but there's also the Tomix wide tram track range available from places like plazajapan

If you are still interested, Lemke are releasing their model of the Duwag M6 sometime this month (or so I am told!) I saw a prototype at the Stuttgart show and it looked very nice! Here's a link, other liveries are also going to be available and, sometime next year, they are releasing a DCC version with sound fitted
