Andy G
It's not mainstream railways but I've been going through my late father-in-laws photographs and have come across these four rail related images. I've no idea what they are of, nor what period they are from. I'd be very pleased if anybody can enlighten me. Regards Andy
bertiedog
Interesting, about the mid to late twenties from the clothes, the railcar is pre first war, converted from an Edwardian car body, maybe early Renault, although Ford engines transmissions were used for this type of railcar quite often. The track is very light weight, not a carrier, but a private line. Nothing indicates the Country, most likely UK, or the States. The Man's hat is a Derby not Bowler, and although his being seated makes the trousers look even shorter, they are the shorter American style, as is the hat. Stephen. Andy G
Thanks Stephen, Almost certainly the UK and probably the late 20's - there's a possibility that the child is my father-in-law which would place it in the late 20s. Andy
Pugsley
Yes, I'd agree with the rough date, the clothes definitely indicate late '20's or early '30's. No idea on location, but it's pretty cool.
