Western Star Posted November 7, 2015 Share Posted November 7, 2015 What colour was used for Swindon-built / maintained Western class engines in the mid to late 1960s? I am building a JLTRT Western kit and I shall be finishing the engine as a Swindon-built example when running in the mid to late 1960s. A suggestion of a manufacturer and colour name / reference / code shall be most useful. mark alden Posted November 16, 2015 Share Posted November 16, 2015 In Blue the inside of the cabs / engine room was a light cream colour. On D1015 we used Manders HEMP which I believe was taken from official drawings.
