calvin Streeting
do they have a online catalog of the range.. as wonder if another type might help trun the corner ?
BobM
The range is on the Bachmann site, I presume their inherently design is for a straight run though, I am attempting something which isn't standard, but I am willing to try anything to be 'novel'...! Cutting away this section firstly...? Regards always... Bob Edited March 23, 2019 by BobM 1
BobM
and then cut into here...? First thoughts,,,make any sense....? The roof pitch may be a problem...? The chimney will have to come off too to accommodate the shortened roof....? Will only become clear when I have the two to play with...? Regards always.... BobM
Hi... None of this may work or come to anything but enjoying the musing....? This may be the butchering required in some format...? Probably completely incorrect too? Regards always,,,, Bob
BobM
This may all 'end in tears'...perhaps I am over analysing and complicating matters, a simple cut and the removal of the chimney could do.....? We'll see...interesting to see how this develops.... Regards always.... Bob
BobM
Hi... Thinking totally differently......would just using the roof of the derelict cottages, build a wall for the whole building....? Regards always guys.... Bob 1

Hi Calvin ..... That's where my thinking was taking me....a simple brick wall....with a ghost advertising sign that would have been visible from the Road Bridge and railway....? Be different...? Simpler to achieve too...? There's a link on here too Regards always... Bob Edited March 23, 2019 by BobM

calvin Streeting
you could even get away with covering about half, aka fill over only first house and leave next one as is... slaters https://www.slatersplastikard.com/plastikard/embossed.php do oo plasticard, in runner and english brick bond, and you would only have to paint the wall to match brickwork on pub.. and hide most with a ghost sign.

Hi If I cut out this section from the drainpipe completely, place strengthening cross pieces to the rear, I could insert a complete brick walling section...? Or shall I just remove the raised stonework, and have a raised brick panel across to the derelict house...? Regards Bob Edited March 24, 2019 by BobM
calvin Streeting
Hmmm well if you removed raised sto e work first and try it with brick over top. And if not plan b remove section.. it's a kind of a then b .. but b then a wont work so I say try a first... erm lol hope you understand that
BobM
Hi,,,,,, Planning to remove the left hand chimney........the raised lintels and stonework of the left cottage.....infill the windows and doors with filler and smooth down to the existing brickwork and take it from there....eh..? Hope the weekend has been 'chipper;....? Been at Arley volunteering, seen these amongst others... Regards always.... Bob

BobM
Evening Guys..... All well I trust....? Just thought I'd post images of each of the stages concerned with adapting the derelict cottages into the end wall of the pub....... This is the Bachmann resin piece as supplied....... Intend firstly to remove the orange highlighted stone work...... Here goes...! Regards always..... Bob
BobM
Hi..... '180' not an option now.....! The chimney has gone, so so have the window lintels, the door arch and step.....the down pipe was a 'casualty' but no worries really there......will now 'infill' with filler to bring the levels up to the brickwork and take it from there....... I am thinking that a 'rendered surface' across to the derelict cottage brickwork would negate the need for a new brick face.....? Any comments.....? Regards always..... calvin Streeting
Getting there I see.. you might need to lose some brickwork at the eves / soft to match that of the pub.
