Hi......

One final posting for this evening.....

  • The roof has been cut out from the main bridge.....the landing wall will be removed next and the two hopefully marry up , with a bit of tweaking, filing and filling it'll look half decent...?

Regards always.....

It’s looking really good, are you going to use an epoxy type adhesive or a superglue

Hi Chris.....

When I've used resin products before, it's always been superglue....

I’ve never tinkered with resin products myself so I was curious what adhesives worked

Hi...

When I've been less than careful with one or two Bachmann buildings (broken chimneys on the cottages) superglue seemed to work...?

Well if you're not sure about locating things 1st time you can use always use a 2 part super glue Bob. It comes as a liquid and a spray. So you use the liquid part first like ordinary super glue and then when it's all lined up in the correct position you spray the 2nd part on and it then goes off and fixes the whole thing permanently. It's good stuff I've used it myself on many occasions but I can't remember who makes it and I know I don't have any in stock right now.

Regards Lez.

Evening my dear friends.....

Hope all are well this chilly evening....?

Made a welcome change to be frozen to death and see the UFO (Unidentified Frying Object) in the sky again today after a seemingly long absence,  mind you it took me half an hour or so to unseal the an iced up car and scrape the windscreen off this morning!

Anyway a muse for you.....while I continue to file the pieces of neater fit wonder what you think of a further adaptation......

the Bachmann bridge has an open wire frame on the walkway.....

but wondering whether if I insert in a piece of cut plasticard thus.....would it make for a better look for GWR style bridge....such as Hagley's walkway. this platicard could be appropriately coloured to highlight the hatch 'metalwork'?

'Impossibility Base' ......'The Eagle Has landed'....!

Completed the filing to a state that I am comfortable with and the resultant fit....any gaps I can fill when glued together, will prior to that cut the potential faces to the steelwork on the bridge to see what it looks like.....

I never thought I could do this or even have the courage to attempt it in the first place....!

Thank you for all the kind comments and guidance....much appreciated as always.....

Regards to all as always....
