jonathan452
Looking forward to seeing Kings Park again. https://www.facebook.com/KingsParkModelRailway/?fref=ts Though noted (for the benefit of those who may be coming by train from the Medway Towns and beyond) that there is engineering work east of Sole Street that weekend, trains from London Victoria will be terminating there. http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/service_disruptions/currentAndFuture.aspx?TravelDate=30%2F01%2F2016&TOC=se

Invicta Informant
Setting up went well this evening, despite this being a new venue to us all. We hope things will go well this weekend.
C.A.T.Ford
Spent the day at this show. Really good with a much better venue than before. Lots of useful traders and some excellent layouts. CAT
Chrisr40
I thought the new venue was excellent as a punter. There was a lot more space which was good as my youngest son often gets swamped under ruck sacks and the like in crowded aisles. It could have done with signage locally though as we didn't see any on the way. Quality of layouts was really good, Banbury was very good and my son particularly liked Tonbridge Yard. Overall a 9 out of 10. Best wishes Chris
paulaspinell
Yes I agree with the above, well worth while, I think the car park got rather clogged up(I went by train) I think a few traders were having problems with mobile reception on their chip & pin machines, the problem was solved by going into the car park with one trader!! apart from that there seemed plenty of room, well attended, good range of traders/layouts perhaps a few others might look at this show, could be worth their while. No other connection, just a satisfied visitor.
shanks522
Congratulations to the Erith club, a great exhibition, even better that its only 10 minutes away from me. Plenty of trade and good layouts, I've taken a few photo's but only with a phone so there not great. Tonbridge west yard. Kings Park. Banbury. I have a real soft spot for 3mm layouts, Redford. Tanners Hill. Graham.
dasatcopthorne
Went to this show today, Sunday. (by car) Well, what can I say? Firstly, a good move from the old very cold venue. Now in a lovely spacious well aired and heated venue. Couldn't be more pleasant. The show covers a large area making it a bit rambling but at least there were plenty of chairs scattered about for those who needed a rest. Generally well lit as well. Large restaurant serving sarnies and hot meals. Looked good although I only had a bagette. Tea only 50p though!!! Good selection of layouts in most gauges to keep most people interested. Sorry but now the down side. On Sunday morning you have the usual 'kids football' out the back so parking spaces were at a premium. Not the Club's fault and I don't see what can be done about this. Perhaps it was better on Saturday but I imagine there's Saturday footie as well. Street parking was difficult but It won't stop me going again. Well done the the Erith Club and a good move. C.A.T.Ford
Just back and unloaded from a very good show. Thanks to the Erith club, the catering team who worked so hard, and the layout crews and traders. It was great to see pictures of the show a practice which has regrettably lapsed on this site. fire.up.the.aero
Congratulations to the Erith club for an excellent show - good mix of layouts and trade. Interesting to see a high percentage of N-gauge layouts - not my scale, but that's beside the point - it's great to see high quality modelling in any scale. My personal favourite was Banbury (fascinating not only for the modelling but the iPhone controls) though Tanners Hill ran it very close.. Lots of space to move about in all areas, and refreshing to find such a spacious catering area (top marks)! As Dave mentions above, parking was a downside but I managed to find a space a little way down the road so all ok in the end. Will definitely aim to be back next year! wainwright1
Must be the best one yet. Went on Saturday and again on Sunday. Got there about 09.45 Saturday and the front car park was full. I don't think the back one was open to the public at that point, so parked just up the road. No problem, just few minutes walk. Mind you, the ticket queue was all the way from the building entrance back to the gateway into the school site site and it stayed that way even when we were going in around 10.20. Must have been a very good attendance. Got there earlier Sunday and a little quieter and parking o.k., but there was the Sunday football going on which used up some of the space. I believe that the absence of direction road signs was due to Kent County Council, who would not allow them to be put up, though once you were on the main road it was not difficult to find. A good broad selection of layouts and trade stands and lots of space to move around in a warm comfortable location. Catering pretty good, though perhaps could have a little more variety for the public. Has potential for expansion, although I think that it was big enough and it took most of the day to have a good look round at everything. Looking forward to next year when we should be exhibiting Crystal Palace High Level. Well done Paul and the Erith crew. RB
AliR53
Again, another succesful exhibition by Erith MRS. I thought the venue was first class, with plenty of space to move about and the catering facilities were very good. A decent cup of Rosy Lee too for 50p, can't be bad. Plenty of trade, but nothing ever seems to grab me anymore and say "buy me". The show bargains don't seem to be there. Perhaps I've just got too much. Some very good layouts, but my only negative comment on the feedback form was that there were too many 'N' Gauge layouts and not enough "OO" BR Steam (with a few green diesels), but I appreciate that's a personal preference. My favourites on the day, were Hobbs Warren and Stratford Road and I did enjoy sitting opposite Hastings Harbour watching the trains and listening to the sea, which was very therapeutic actually. Lyddrail
I really enjoyed the show, the venue was very good, well done to the Erith Club. Thanks for the pics of my layout TWY above, some nice views there. Layout performed very well, most faults fixed straight away. Cheers.
