Is that the track bed that forms part of the Coast to Coast path, it certainly looked familiar. Having said that it was nearly thirty years ago that I walked that!

Coast to Coast and Lyke Wake walks use part of the line between Blakely junction and incline top.

It would appear that Uncle Porsea can't stand them either...or perhaps he had a problem with his Uncle George...probably best not to ask as we could be here some time.

Also, didn't the B class have a tiddly wheel at the back?

Thank 4*ck you said that. I thought I was going senile, imagining that "goosegogs"were a thing (stand down Yorkshire ancestors, Linguistic honour and clarity has been established). Mr Axlebox..... re. Mr P.Maine and his opinion on Rhubarb, and derivatives. If he can't take gooseberries, as a comrade you may wish to furnish him with a goodly supply of gaviscon if reaction to goosegogs is anything to go by.

Hopefully get a ride round to the East Mines and Depot soon. Last two visits to the area they have been working on the track below Blakey Ridge. I did it a few years ago but had to carry the bike  a lot of the way. When I tried a repeat run I got blown off the track by the wind and ended up at York hospital.

Oh how I've missed those ladies. Will I ever nibble on their cherries again?

"Fats"  I think you've missed an "r" dear boy. I never deal will them them in a civilised manner. I simply look skyward, start whistling and occasionally give a knowing but innocent nod toward some unsuspecting bystander.
