Lima class 20 wheels

Hi All, I recently picked up a Lima Class 20 (No 8000) for a song.

The only problem with it is that it has been converted to EM gauge.

Does any one know where I can get wheels to put it back to 00 gauge.

I have tried reducing back to backs but the wheels foul the inner frame.

Full size wheels are 3`-7" diam.

I suspect the Hornby class 20 spare wheel sets will be suitable, part numbers

There are sets on eBay at the moment.

Beware Many lima and Ex-lima items currently in the range have been re-engineered completely from how they was. East kent models are good to ask they usually know if you can put Hornby parts on that lima model

Does it still have the Lima bogies? Has the EM conversion added anything to the Lima bogie? You should be able to reduce the gauge without any problems because Lima wheels are far fatter than EM ones.

 

Take a photo so we can what the problem is, please?

I might have a set of Lima wheels hanging about in the scrap box... but beware they're the old Lima steam roller wheels that's why they're in the scrap box
