RMweb Gold chris p bacon Posted January 9, 2016 RMweb Gold Share Posted January 9, 2016 Sorting through the last items from a friends workshop and I keep puting these to one side as I can't for the life of me work out what they are, hopefully someone ese will be able to say. I have a feeling it's going to be one of those "Duh" moments if someone knows as they look awfully familiar.
JeffP
Look like safety valve and bonnet ex GWR?
34theletterbetweenB&D
Or even combined top feed and safety valve bonnet for some Swindon type(s). It will need some careful detective work around whether the base of the bonnet is for tapered or parallel barrel and what diameter, and also how high up the bonnet side the top feed casing is placed, to determine what class(es) it might suit. RMweb Gold chris p bacon Posted January 9, 2016 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted January 9, 2016 Now I did wonder that, but he was a staunch GN/LNER modeller and if these were GWR they would be the only 2 items in the many 100's/1000's that came from his workshop. I can't think of GN/LNE that they would of been suitable for either.
Grovenor
That would explain why they have remained unused all these years. Regards

vitalspark
Look like combined top feed clack and combined Safety valve cover. Clack cover would be green I think with safety valve cover brass. Dave.
