vulcan product fan
Great looking layout! Must say, I’ve been thinking about getting one of those Heljan 58’s from Hattons myself and doing as you are, adding the coal sector decals. I’m a fan of the Bachmann 47 too, it’s a great looking model. Though I do still have all my old Heljan ones, can’t seem to part with them! They are a bargain those 58 . Thanks for the good review of the layout the bachy 47 runs and looks the part and the 47 by Heljan are i dont know i cant put my finger on it shape or looks ?
40 058
They are a bargain those 58 . Thanks for the good review of the layout the bachy 47 runs and looks the part and the 47 by Heljan are i dont know i cant put my finger on it shape or looks ? The Heljan 47 was a good model at the time, but it looks a bit dated now I think. They look worse when you stand a Heljan next to a Bachmann 47. I don’t know why I keep mine really! I never use them anymore. Mind you, I’ve kept a few of my old Lima 47’s and 31’s too for some reason.
vulcan product fan
Heljan 47 are dated that's it and Lima made some very good models the 31 still stands up well to Hornby's offering Hornby's new internal workings are the only things better than Lima's . bescotbeast
I've got 4 Heljan 47's, I know some people call them "tubby duffs" but I love em to bits and they can haul some heavy trains round my layout.

vulcan product fan
picked up a wagon i have been after for ages to go on the steel train. its Dapol sliding hood steel coil carrier and its a superb model . The 47/8 has one of the new oxford rail mk3a first open in tow . its a very nice looking model and has lots of details but feels a bit cheap .The plastic under frame feel a bit thin and it wont run around my curves but will keep it as it looks real good and i got it on line very cheap at £16 so not complaining . and also got another class 68 this time a scotrail one. thats it now thanks for looking .

vulcan product fan
Decided i should be brave and have a go at renumbering the 58 myself and put the coal sector decals on so here goes with the t-cut so number 28 removed and a little polish were the logo will go . so with number applied and coal sector decal on going to let this dry before removing the front numbers and opposite side ones .
Marcus 37
Layouts looking superb mate. Like your new "Bone". Their a cracking model. Mine makes an appearance every so often at PDW. I've never actually seen a 58 at Peak Forest but I'm sure one must have turned up at some time.
