RMweb Gold Popular Post Chris Chewter Posted March 2, 2021 Author RMweb Gold Popular Post Share Posted March 2, 2021 It must be the 1960's as the railcar is in the platform. Occasionally steam is used to move freight using line regular 1664, but generally one of the railcars are used to move passengers to Kemble. 17

RMweb Gold Chris Chewter Posted March 3, 2021 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted March 3, 2021 I thought I'd trial a shunter in the yard to give it a bit more variety. He's loose at the moment until I'm happy with his position.

RMweb Gold Popular Post Chris Chewter Posted March 6, 2021 Author RMweb Gold Popular Post Share Posted March 6, 2021 He's out with that oil can again! I presume the oil feeder has run dry as he's got the big can in his hand. Perhaps 5532 has an issue with keeping oil in its bearings. Looks like the fireman is keeping out of the way.
The Great Bear
A brilliant string of photos, great modelling well captured. 4
RMweb Gold Popular Post Chris Chewter Posted March 16, 2021 Author RMweb Gold Popular Post Share Posted March 16, 2021 Sorry for the break in photos. I was concerned that people might be getting a bit jaded with the constant procession of pannier tanks in the Gloucestershire countryside. I've also been a bit too fussy with the photos I've captured, and didn't think some of them were quite good enough. Here's a case in point: Unfortunately the shunter has been painted in Tamiya flesh, where as the fireman has been painted with Humbrol flesh, giving him a pinker hue. Its probably a bit of a non issue really, so here it is. 25
Ponthir28
Never bored of panniers so please keep them coming. Thanks. 1
RMweb Gold Graham T Posted March 16, 2021 RMweb Gold Share Posted March 16, 2021 I really like this photo, the backscene seems to fit perfectly. 3
RMweb Gold Chris Chewter Posted March 17, 2021 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted March 17, 2021 A few shots of a different pannier. 4672 was weathered by myself and I wanted to see how it looked on camera. I think that looks OK, but it shows the importance of masking the glazing before starting. Not even t-cut can remove that grot from the windows.
RMweb Gold Chris Chewter Posted March 18, 2021 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted March 18, 2021 4672 also seems to look good in service. This loco was originally intended to be sold, but I might end up keeping this one.
RMweb Gold Popular Post Chris Chewter Posted March 19, 2021 Author RMweb Gold Popular Post Share Posted March 19, 2021 6412 has been photographed in the headshunt whilst the fireman operates the ground frame. And the view from the bank. 22
RMweb Gold Popular Post Chris Chewter Posted March 20, 2021 Author RMweb Gold Popular Post Share Posted March 20, 2021 The usual crowd wait for their train on a Saturday morning at Tetbury. (Well, they would as they can't move.)
RMweb Gold Popular Post Chris Chewter Posted March 21, 2021 Author RMweb Gold Popular Post Share Posted March 21, 2021 The first train from Kemble has just arrived. Whilst the crew set about moving the engine to the other end of the train, a lone passenger makes his way to the station. He hears voices from over the wall. Turns out its a local constable discussing recent events.
RMweb Gold Popular Post Chris Chewter Posted March 22, 2021 Author RMweb Gold Popular Post Share Posted March 22, 2021 How about two views of 1664 today? One on the shed: And one in the yard: I'm still not ready to weather it just yet.
RMweb Gold Popular Post Chris Chewter Posted March 23, 2021 Author RMweb Gold Popular Post Share Posted March 23, 2021 A slightly different angle today. The guard watches from the driving end as 9759 runs around the Hawksworth autocoach ready to head back towards Kemble. Apparently the train rarely ran in the auto formation as the clips had to be removed at Tetbury, Kemble and Culkerton for shunting.

RMweb Gold Chris Chewter Posted March 25, 2021 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted March 25, 2021 3711 is in the yard today, and the shunter seems pleased he's found his loco. He didn't look very interested when the 64xx visited.

RMweb Gold Chris Chewter Posted March 26, 2021 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted March 26, 2021 How about something slightly different. 4680 on a short freight, although its more likely a shunt as freight only moves on the line were very rare.
RMweb Gold Chris Chewter Posted March 27, 2021 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted March 27, 2021 Following on from yesterday, this is a more typical train at Tetbury. Any freight would just be attached to the end of the train!
