A poor but hopefully interesting picture from a few days ago.

68007 and 68002 TnT the 6M63 Bridgwater to Crewe service reversing at Bristol East on 29 July during the major works to Bristol Temple Meads. Also unusually the service ran on both Wednesday 28th and Thursday 29th last week.

York today was a bit busy with other loco’s so 68029 got dumped in platform 6 until a LNER service required the platform.

Seems a bit sad to see relatively new modern locos like 68's getting covered in RHTT filth!

And the new 69’s,plus the problems associated with it like wheel flats and wheel sets, which seems to have put some Colas 56’s out of action, but needs must I suppose.

A very cold and frosty Banbury on  Tuesday 18th January, 68013 leaves on 1H17 06.47 Stourbridge-London Marylebone. It was nice to have two loco hauled trains in short order,  68010 following on 1H22 the 07.16 off Stourbridge.

It seems from info on other forums that some 68+Mk5 sets are being redeployed to a few south Transpennine services (Cleethorpes/Sheffield/Manchester) from later this year. There's already been training with a light engine 68 on the Hope Valley.
