The dimensions were a movable feast one of the prototypes was slightly higher than the other two. Not sure which one it was. As it was higher it was used a little less than the other two.

30586, the one with square splashers had a higher tank filler. It was too high to be easily filled from the feed in Pencarrow Woods, hence why 30585 and 30587 tended to be used more on Wenford jobs and 30586 on Wadebridge shunting.

There is definitely an existing thread on this subject as I’ve posted a photo I took of the filler previously. I’ll find it, or the photo, when I’ve next got my laptop out.

 

Edit: cant find the old thread - seems to have gone. Basically it was a collection of several peoples 7mm well tanks.
