Earl Bathurst
Superb Modelling. I think this layout needs to come back to Swansea next year. Scott

Just a minor thing that jars slightly is the yellow articulated lorry is way too new for the layout, that type of truck was introduced in 1989 so is a bit out of period. You are correct in your observation 37114, the lorry is incorrect for the period represented, although when the layout was first conceived it was going to cover the period up to the 1990's so fitted in. The layout subsequently moved back in time when it started on the exhibition circuit, and the lorry never got changed, mainly because of the lack of a replacement being available. However recently we have come across a firm called IXO, which advertises 1:43 scale lorries & trucks, although mainly foreign in origin. They do a couple of mid 1970's tractor units that should fit in well. Some more pics of the layout in action at Burnham, with a couple more views of the "New Road" end and the station building, this time with added road vehicles. The observant amongst you will note a lack of drivers in the vehicles. This will be rectified in the future. Now moving onto the loco fleet, in TOPS order, starting with some of the shunter fleet. 08083 first, which is a Dapol model, and runs beautifully and is a pleasure to shunt with. There is another Dapol 08 on the stock list, 08111, which runs just as well as 08083. Most of the rest of the fleet of mainline locos are from the Heljan stable, and although there are a couple of kits from various manufacturers also, they carry later liveries, so don't usually go to exhibitions. First up, 20021. Most of the stock run on Blowers Green is Bills, and here we see 25102 stabled in the yard, with 08111 shunting the yard. That is it for this batch of photos. I have a few more to go which will appear in my next post. Paul J.
millerhillboy
Absolutely lovely work, amongst the best on here IMO. The rolling stock is just so spot on its unbelivable.
Swindon 123
My last batch of photos of Blowers Green at Burnham exhibition coming up. The introduction of Heljans Class 25 variations has been taken advantage of, with 5 examples now part of the fleet, as befitting a layout based in the Midlands at the end of the 1970's. Three, 25048, 25102 and 25275 are Bills, whilst my contribution is in the form of 25259 and a modified 25211. Other classes of loco do form part of the fleet, and do sneak into the following collection of photos. First up to break the loco monopoly is Class 116 DMU, built from an Easybuild kit. In this shot, the driver seems to be confused, as the train is heading away from Stourbridge Junction, not towards it. But then in real life, the headcode blinds didn't get changed. Now for the "Rat pack", starting with Bills very filthy 25275 + 25048. 25102, seemingly on a brake van special. Next up my pairing of 25211 + 25259. A slight change now in the form of 37029 exiting Dudley Tunnel on its way the Severn Tunnel Junction. And finally to round off these photos, 47499 is Bescot bound. That is all for now. I've always had a bit of a soft spot for small Sulzers, whatever class. Your pair look very nice, and are more than welcome to appear on this thread. Thanks very much Paul, that's very kind of you. I won't bombard your thread, as I have my own to contend with, and having seen Blowers Green a couple of times in the last couple of years, I'm looking forward to seeing the changes to the ends first hand. Having said I won't bombard your thread, I thought you and your viewers might like this one.
