Chris. D.
With the help of members of the club, who have built this layout for me and sorted me out for posting on here, this is my trainset RUAN, which is set on the Lizard Peninsula a bit Southwards of Helston. I have had to say this as at the few shows where we have had chance to show it most people seem to think that is set in Wales and not Gods Country, Cornwall. I attach a few photos taken for me by club members. A 45xx heads for Helston on a short freight. Chris

brianusa
Any Cornish branch is special and yours looks really good, trees and lots of greenery. You couldn't fit a little creek in by any chance? Brian.

exmoordave
Very pleased to say that that "Ruan" is coming to Exmoor Rail this year on Sat. 6th August, so looking forward to seeing it again! exmoordave
brianusa
Are there any creeks on the Lizard? There's enough off the Helford river which is close enough. At least Daphne du Maurier thought so! Besides we're only playing; Ruan wouldn't even warrant a railway unless we have an imaginary tin mine there! Brian.
Rivercider
I have enjoyed seeing this layout in operation a couple of times, including Taunton last year. I must admit that for some reason I also expected it to be Welsh before reading the programme notes! cheers
BlackRat
Nice one Chris, seen the layout quite a few times and I really like the revamp.

So the layout could serve the airfield. E
