Donington Road
My friend Trackside ECML has been out and about today trying to find some action. It appears very little is going on. Bit of landscaping around the site. The embankment getting tidied up at Lincoln Road. Onwards to Cock Lane. Is that a new flower border being put around all the wooden fencing? ..........and this one comes complete with ready planted weeds! The triangle of mesh fencing in the background protects an old 8x4 sheet of plywood that has laid on the floor for months.

Ah, the answer to this one is that the cable trunking has now been installed so the ground can now be consolidated and generally tidied up around it. It also strikes me that there is a lot more rail in this area than there was before. 1 2
Donington Road
The lorries are all loaded up taking ballast away, must have ordered too much. The main site now looking bare and forlorn. Some new fencing going in between the footbridge and the Down Stamford line. Surprised that it only seems to be standard height, Novel way of fixing the posts into the ground. 5

It looks to me as though there is enough now for the whole length of the new lines and it is going to be dragged all the way to and through the dive under.
40F S & T
Hi May I say I am sorry I asked the question about Hull Trains. After watching TRACKSIDE ECML of trains on the ECML. I found the video and the answers to my question very interesting. both nothing to do with the Werirngton job. It did seem to attract a lot of comments. To ess1uk & 3 others I am sorry I asked the question.

RMweb Premium jamie92208 Posted June 18, 2021 RMweb Premium Share Posted June 18, 2021 Those shots of the rail, all assembled near thevjunction reminded me of something that was in an update from NR that I saw somewhere. IIRCthey are bringing in a tracklaying machinr so it would make sense to start from where the rail is and work right through to Marholm, probably one track at a time. The rail certainly looks to have bern made a lot neater. Jamie

(For those who don't know, Wombles are named by Great Uncle Bulgaria closing his eyes and putting a pin on a map of the world. The young Womble's name is taken from the nearest place name.) (And if anyone says Wombles aren't real-they are. Wimbledon Common is a real place. So there.) 4
