Real Time Trains isn't on the ball yet.

It shows 4E20 (and the others) today as going via Werrington Jn. but did not have a timing report from there (not surprising really!)

https://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/service/gb-nr:H01648/2021-11-29/detailed

Railcam UK also haven't updated their diagram for all the signal berth numbers.

The schedule still has a timing point in it but the route taken avoids it hence the ‘no report’.

Trains with a timing point at York Yard South jct and go via the Station rather than the Slow lines show the same!

The correct route for 4E20 via Marholm & Glinton Jns on RTT as I posted earlier does not include Werrington Jn.

I'll repeat it here: https://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/service/gb-nr:H01649/2021-12-11/detailed

Will a number of trains be using the dive-under today and the rest of this week?

Ever present soil heap and removal:

Two men from Morgan Sindall were measuring the flow and didn't know about the test runs through the dive-under either!

According to RTT 4E21 Felixstowe - Tinsley is due through Werrington Jn. around 15:00 (it's currently 20mins from Ely, running on time), if it follows yesterday's route, it should use the diveunder instead.

I haven't been to Werrington since 2017, but I'm getting the impression that the best views to catch all services are from Cock Lane footbridge. Is this true?

It's a good place. You might need a foldable step though to use all viewpoints.

I presume the last shot on the old track is 66742 with the Masborough - Felixstowe, around an hour late but not as bad as yesterday. It occurs to me that if GBRf want to make a loco change then trains would still stick to the old alignment to avoid crossing the ECML twice. However a crew change at Peterborough could perhaps be done with a brief halt by the station using the new alignment?

Yes, 66742, here's a better shot as regards loco id.

In the past I've seen crew changes done on platforms 6 and 7 so I see no reason why that shouldn't continue. And it is possible to make crew changes on the freight loop to the west of the station.

Just a few additions to todays photos from Crun.

The wide way has been cleared of rubbish and is being checked over.

The entrance the the dive under access from Hurn Road has gained some Armco and the north side bank of Brook Drain has been given a haircut.

The topsoil in the centre of the field is being transported to the old car park, from where topsoil was taken to cover the old haul road last week, which is behind it.:scratchhead:

Some of the topsoil was also being taken to cover the old haul road that runs alonside the new Hurn Road.

Concrete barriers were being removed from the top of the railway embankment adjacent to the Hurn Road entrance.

The gap were the concrete barriers are being removed so that the green fencing can be completed.  It is a bit odd that the railway is not secured while trains are now running on the new line.

.....and finally, our friendly security chap was doing a spot of gardening around his office.  At least he has not been left out in the open with just a chair like his colleague was at Stirling Way.
