FNA Nuclear Flask wagon

As it seems Bachmann are bringing out an FNA at some point in the future, based on their announcements today, I've been trying to find out when these were first built so I can decide whether or not to get some for my layout.

 

Basic googling finds lots of photos but no build date - can anyone advise please?

Depends on which batch/numbers they are doing:

 

550000-550005 - 1970

550009-550014 - 1976/7

550015-550016 - 1978

550017-550018 - 1982

550019-550020 - 1984/6

550021-550026 - 1986

550027-550060 - 1988/9

Kinda depends on which versions they are going to do, but 1970 onwards

Thanks for that wealth of information - without knowing what one they are producing, it's a "maybe" by the looks of it, although it looks fairly likely one will.
