Just got these flyers in the post today from R Parker. Good to see some new 'old' stuff in 4mm scale at last as OD have got a bit too modern for the poor postwar people who inhabit my layou

Hi Clive,

Are these kits still available from R.Parker? I am looking for some 1930s N scale vehicles - I already have a few from the Oxford diecast range, but lorries are proving to be a bit elusive. Another Forum member sent me details about R. Parker N scale vehicles from a different post, but when I do a search online there was only one stockist mentioned, which has now closed?

I can see why he stock cleared the first models as they were duplicated by Oxford diecast.

Dont have an RM to hand but does anyone have the address for R Parker so I can mail him for a price list please? Very old school!

Thanks for that. Every one of those 00 kits is available RTR sadly so no point paying twice as much.

Does anybody have have a list of what he’s made over the years as there would suggest over seventy looking at his numbering system?

Actually VE09 1957 Vauxhall Cresta PA is an earlier version (with the three-piece rear screen) than the Oxford diecast version (1957-9 against 1961-2). His Lotus Cortina is also a better shape, particularly along the waist, belt line and rainstrip/window area.

Thanks for the list and the notes. I actually have the P5B on my layout. And I remember the model shop in Leamington Spa having a few in about ten years ago.

There is a message on another board on RMWeb to say that most of the R Parker 00 range has been taken over by John Day Models (Daryle Tonye) and will be absorbed into the John Day range gradually.

Does anyone know if R Parker are still supplying? Not seen any adverts for ages.

He was a while ago (late 2019), he was talking about new items in N and OO for this year, but that was pre covid. I have been meaning to write to him with an order to get an update of the N Gauge range, Mike will probably beat me now.

Firstly confirmation that R. Parker is still operating.

I received the N scale models price list as requested by return of my stamped DL envelope.

NG04   1963-70 Rover P6

NG14   1954-62 Standard 6cwt van

NG15   1935-38 Morris Eight Saloon

NG18   1939-47 Austin Ten

NG26   1931-35 Bedford WLG SWB Recovery truck (the tipper version is in stock)

NG35   1932-34 Austin 10 van

NG37   1919-25 AEC 3.5 ton Omnibus

NG38   1931-35 Fordson BB 2 ton Cattle/Livestock truck

NG39   1920 AEC 3.5 ton lorry

The complete list of models is in my post of 8 May 2019 above.

No indication of when the "out of stock" items will be replenished.

Thank you just printed an order that included several out of stock and money for new ones, which I assume there are none listed. It was October last year when he was on about releasing new items in N & OO this year but Covid must have got in the way. I'll adjust my order, ask how he is and what his plans are for new items.
