Hi Simon,

I may have missed this in the past, but where did the Trestles come from, are they from Tim Horn as well?

Apologies for the rather mundane question amongst well deserved congratulations on complete a circuit!

Simon

So your building does have a wall at the end. I thought it was infinite.

Ahh but that wall does a have a door on the right so that probably means that there is another room beyond that wall.....

Just think of the potential if Simon could extend the layout... Only thinking allowed  :imsohappy:

This shall now be known as

"Pooh corner"

Congratulations on reaching quite literally this mile stone. Can't wait to see it in the flesh.

Simply stunning Simon. And congratulations on reaching this milestone. Running a first full lap will really underline your sense of achievement.

5 years may sound like a long time, but to have achieved all this with the immense detail you have undertaken is incredible. My mere 30 x 12 oo gauge three level layout is operational on the first level with some scenery, helix to level 2 complete, 2nd and third level base boards in construction. Yet this has taken me over 3 years to achieve.

Many pages back there was mention of train spotting with binoculars. I wonder if the venues you have arranged could provide grandstand seating - echos of the Rainhill 150 celebration?

The finished layout will be worth a trip back to the UK from Australia.

Thank you for building it.

Today 37191 traversed the whole circuit pulling a fully loaded 37 wagon MGR. Taking 6 mins & 40 seconds at a scale 48mph..

Reminds me of the old Yorkshire farmer joke, aye lad, I had a loco like that once!

Mike.

I’ve loaded each one of these HAA’s a third full of real crushed coal which makes for a proper heavyweight train..

Absolutely stupendous. I love the way the ground shook as the locomotive went past. :-)

Didn’t take any of the 40’s sadly but give me a couple days.
I doubt a 40 in real life would have pulled 40 loaded HAA’s though!

A mixed freight or some tankers would make my day. ;)

And for you steam buffs, newbie on the block 9F 2-10-0 ‘Evening Star’ runs past light engine.

A 55H model, its staggeringly powerful and also easily coped with the aforementioned 40 wagon MGR train (I haven’t uploaded this as it will upset so many purists). :)

Absolutely fab that as a confirmed kettle man.

is the smoke unit synchronised ?
More please of the 9f!
