Grizz
Corridor connections done both ends, MK2D style. Door hinges, handles and grab handles fitted. Roof pod for Wifi, and aerials fitted to each end. Think I going to fit Replica B4 bogies with added NEM pockets. I need a fan pod for the air con, at least that's what I think it is.....
Grizz
Couple of more photos. Planning to put the LED door lock indicators on prior post painting. Also need to find some 'WIFI' transfers, does anyone know who sells them?
Grizz
This is the base coat of GWR stock brown....because it is all that I have in stock. Not too bad a finish with the air brush, looks very flat though and shows up some of the scratches but the satin varnish will hide these once I have applied the darker brown Pullman paint over the top.

Grizz
MK2D Full Brake in red primer, cut n shut from two Airfix BSOs. Long distance Intercity Cross Country? Body work isn’t perfect. Mount on Replica B5 bogies with Bachmann 36-034 wheels and Bachmann short straight couplings.

Mount on Replica B5 bogies with Bachmann 36-034 wheels and Bachmann short straight couplings. Reposted because the photos were lost in the big tech melt down…..just got to get around to finishing it. Either in BR Blue and Grey or Intercity.. 6
woodenhead
Lovely, but why do parcels need to be air conditioned, a Mk2C BG would have been as much as they needed. Maybe remove the aircon units from underneath. 1
Grizz
Good point, but it was not necessarily going to be a parcel van. My intention was to use it in the similar way that some BGs were used by intercity. Attached to Sleeper services as a support coach, or loco hauled intercity trains and carrying perishables etc. This was a simple cut and shut that used two old Airfix MK2D BSOs and it create a MK2D full brake and with the left overs it made a MK2F with the toilets on the opposite sides at each end. Just gotta buy a serious load of Laserglaze units. Enough for 80 coaches… haha.
