johnb
An announcement from the Chairman of Marlow Maidenhead & District MRC It is with great sadness that Marlow, Maidenhead Model Railway Club announce that our club president, Mike Gosling passed away this afternoon at Stoke Mandeville Hospital with his family at his bedside.I joined our model railway club thirty years ago and got to know Mike well, he was a skilled modeller and I learnt many railway modelling skills from him. He was a leading light in the club taking on committee roles and was our long standing secretary and later, chairman, in more recent years he has been the club president. Mike modelled in 4mm scale and is well known for exhibiting Aldbury Town at many shows including Warley and Wells. Mike's main interest was in P4. He also ran Dart Castings for a number of years. Mike was interested in railway in general and always enjoyed our club meetings, exhibitions and outings. It is fitting that Mike made it to our summer club show on 11 June this year in Knowl Hill and was able to see our many club projects progressing as he has not been able to be so active with the club in the last few years. Our thoughts and deepest sympathies go to his wife Irene and all his family.Mark PollardMMDMRC Chairman
