A friend of mine has just bought a nice little 6 coupled Fowler diesel for much less, although it does require some work to get it back in service it's basically complete and not in bad condition mechanically, plus having a spare engine for it. Wonder if it'll still be available by the time I've got enough overtime in to cover it and haulage?
