well we have sold out of the P4 Romford axles over the weekend now can we get more from Markits

And I bought the last two! I suspect the reason you sold so many was the relevation here on RMweb last week that Markit's wheel sets could be used to iron out the bugs from a chassis before fitting AGW wheels. I certainly hadn't thought of that one before.

Nice to meet you

Regards

Which seems a good idea, one I mean to try next chassis. So I hope some more do appear.

Thanks.  Having now dug out some old Romford wheels, I seem to recall that they had to be tapped 10BA or is my memory playing tricks with me.  If so, my 1970's tapping might not have been that precise so the crankpins might be a bit out for P4.

I was asked would I like to attend so I asked for the price of a stand never heard back

That is a great shame. They went through a stage about a decade a go where they priced out anyone other than box shifters. I thought they had got past that with the modeller village they introduced about 5 or so years ago.

Shame. i must put my order in over the web. I do like a good browse though and normally end up buying far more than i would otherwise.

Warley is a tough show as a small trader, not only do you need to take enough to cover the cost of the stand rent which is rather higher than elsewhere, but the incidentals costs (food accommodation etc) are also rather higher, and the aggro factor of getting into and out of the hall, and the earlier start on Saturday meaning a Saturday setup is out, has made a lot look at it, and decide its not for them.

Yes they might take a bit more money than an ordinary show, but it needs to be a lot more, and if they are running their business properly with an easy to use website, than a lot of that custom is going to come their way without even leaving the house.

A trader I used to buy from when he did some of my local shows once told me he had given up doing Warley because it was difficult for him to make enough profit for it to be worthwhile spending the time and effort. He said he got a better return from selling at medium size and specialist shows.

South Eastern Finecast has dropped Ally Pally for the same reason....
