Matt,

I assume that if you're modelling the present day scene, you've already been down to the station and taken lots of pictures yourself.

I am modelling the present day scene, and I have only very briefly been to the station when waiting for a train to Clapham Junction. I live far away from here so I don't get much chance to go to Denmark Hill.

Cheers,

Matt

Goggle, Flickr...?

I have tried Google without too much luck, but I didn't think about Flickr, I'll check it out :)

Cheers,

Matt

Google images came up with loads, including the kentrail website with lots of history. Also the Phoenix pub is in the station building, and that might come up with more images.

Thanks for this, I'll be sure to check them out :)

Cheers,

Matt

Hi Nigel,

If you could email some pics to mattrboot@aol.com that would be an immense help!

I'd appreciate photos of any part of the station, and of anything on the station whether it be platform lighting, the station building, stairs, signs, absolutely anything will be helpful!

Don't go to too much trouble, but photo's would be much appreciated!

Cheers very much,

Matt

Also, National Rail's Stations Made Easy has pics.

See http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/75001.aspx

and DH in particular: http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/stations_destinations/sme/DMK_StationPlan.aspx

Hover over the plan, click for a photo and click the resulting photo for a larger version.

Includes photos of benches!

Cheers for this, interesting to see that after 46 years, it still looks pretty much the same!

Cheers,

Matt

A bit late, but this is a link to a set taken in 2013, when they were doing the accessibility works there.

I have very little to offer, despite having lived within 2 or 3 miles for 40+ years, except that I have a grandson named Phoenix after the pub - you guess why! At the time it was called The Phoenix & Firkin - so we were glad it wasn't twins!

I have just one contribution to make on the photo front and one that won't reveal anything not seen before.

Cheers for this Phil, every little helps :).

I think it's great how you named your son after the Phoenix pub, but as you say, twins may have been a little tricky to name if you were sticking to pub names.

One called Coach and one called Horses perhaps??  :jester:

Cheers for your help,

Matt
