ess1uk
Looking for a way to teach basic electrical ideas to my child. Does anyone have any suggestions to teaching aids? I have seen snap circuits but wondered what else was out there. Thanks for any ideas.

Jaggzuk
How old is your young one? Mine at 5 1/2 has managed to cope with a simple breadboard and some LEDs circuits with switches, He enjoyed playing with my signal control test circuits. These are pretty cheep and offers long term use. The kit that dhjgreen sited has one. But as dhjgreen says there might be more scope and fun to be had with some of the other Maplin range of kits that end up with something being built that works. Here's another link listing various kits http://www.maplin.co.uk/c/gadgets-toys-and-hobbies/projects-kits-and-modules#Category:Educational Kits&sort=relevance&page=0&productsPerPage=
