gedlee
Hi Without 'spilling the beans' I can confirm that the 92 Newsletter was positive. I have ordered from Revolution and DJM and I am glad that I have as Revolution are not doing the Stobart version. Cheers, Ged.

woodenhead
Looks like one of each - a 3d OO in the background and the N scale print at the front.
RMweb Premium njee20 Posted December 5, 2018 RMweb Premium Share Posted December 5, 2018 Yep, that's the N gauge one in the foreground, there was also the original 'N' gauge one as shown last year at Warley, which is actually more like Z gauge (by accident). The N gauge one is the same one that's been doing the rounds for a while.
justin1985
Sorry, it's not the picture - those prints are just so awful it's impossible to make anything out from them!
MGR Hooper!
Sorry, it's not the picture - those prints are just so awful it's impossible to make anything out from them! Agree.... there's so many world class 3D printers that are accessible and aren't expensive also. A lot of my Shapeways 3D prints looks far better
RMweb Premium jjb1970 Posted December 9, 2018 RMweb Premium Share Posted December 9, 2018 More to the point, the Revolution model looks superb, is close to production, well priced and sourced from a manufacturer with a reputation for getting it right.

Spot on! RevolutioN have partnered up with someone we can actually trust blindly.
justin1985
Spot on! RevolutioN have partnered up with someone we can actually trust blindly. Or in fact don't need to trust blindly, because they've delivered a working EP pretty quickly in the scale of model development. Rather than continuing to hawk around a 3D printed lump that looks like some vaguely melted Lego!
RMweb Premium njee20 Posted December 9, 2018 RMweb Premium Share Posted December 9, 2018 And a production UK-prototype n gauge model. Is the news out yet about this though? Doesn’t seem to be on Dave’s website, but I thought the embargo was until today? Can someone in receipt of the message tell us what it said?

And let's not forget they've made an amazing Pendolino and TEA tanker already and have many more amazing stuff to come.
RMweb Premium njee20 Posted December 13, 2018 RMweb Premium Share Posted December 13, 2018 So can anyone share the N gauge announcement email? Given Dave's 10 days is now long passed and the information isn't on his website still. The OO gauge one is on the relevant thread - is it the same info? RMweb Premium jbqfc Posted December 13, 2018 RMweb Premium Share Posted December 13, 2018 So can anyone share the N gauge announcement email? RMweb Premium njee20 Posted December 13, 2018 RMweb Premium Share Posted December 13, 2018 Top response on this page - there was one. OO gauge EP due in February apparently, but the OO gauge update was very gauge specific, so unsure if the N gauge one was the same.
woodenhead
And there are shenanigans on the OO thread that may turn out to be pertinent but we need to wait to see as Andy Y is on the case
RMweb Premium njee20 Posted December 13, 2018 RMweb Premium Share Posted December 13, 2018 To be fair they seem to be relating to Dave's assertions regarding the previous factory. It's common knowledge that he's changed factory and the work (including CADs) was kept by the original factory. The ambiguity appears to be that people had read that as Dave being ripped off, which is clearly only one side of the story, and there may now be someone trying to provide a more balanced view. However, that's all historic, and aside from being a bit of noise it shouldn't impact on the project going forward, so I remain interested in the state of the project. I imagine those who have actually paid for one do too, given many seem to have missed the email!
RMweb Gold scottystitch Posted December 13, 2018 RMweb Gold Share Posted December 13, 2018 I got one (N gauge) and it said pretty much the same as the OO one, including the projected timeline (from memory - I can't find it now and suspect I have inadvertently deleted it......still searching)
Dixie Dean
Another newsletter has been circulated with some additional information about both the OO and N gauge projects. As with previous ones, they will be made public in about 2 weeks on the DJM website.
