No have I . But I understand it ends with everyone gathering round a big barbeque

It should have ended with a malapropism - a big giant damp squid took over the throne.

Appears to be a lot of boredom on this topic [class 92 not GOT]

Probably because a lot of crowdfunders and general customers are sat around the campfire waiting for news from Dave. I think they thought he would reopen his office on 18th May (over two weeks ago) and offer them news of their investments. It would be easy to speculate that Dave had a business trip to China to establish progress with his projects, and was likely back in the UK after his auto office message expired.

Well it's a question of whether one considers the stress for the supplier of the model, or the frustration of those who have invested in it a subject for entertainment.

The problem is once you launch the nuclear option, the fall out and nuclear winter that follows last a very long time.

The only news that can sooth things now is evidence significant of progress. Words alone now mean nothing.

in the void that was DJ Models, we have this whimsical thread, full of chatter fluttering in the still slightly noxious air of that announcement

The biggest problem is that on past experience 0f the DJM models there is an unacceptable waiting time for news, never mind the end product

I see the registered office of DJM was changed this morning:

https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/company/08601496/filing-history

The new address is that of a company that specialises in company restructuring and liquidations.

https://cg-recovery.com/

It does not look good.

there are around 20 companies working out of that building so all may be well

The specific address is a restructuring/liquidator. What other companies in the building do is unfortunately not relevant. However it is does not mean it is all over but  at this stage the doctor is looking for a pulse.

At first I thought the address change could just be to one of those ‘corporate front’ type things, you know, the sort of place 12,759 businesses are registered to one office in an office complex.

This sadly, does not paint a rosy picture of any company registering at 1 Booth Street, Manchester!

Oh dear indeed,

Paul

But just havering a Quick Google show that

Wembley Menswear Company Limited

uses

Registered Address of

Cg&Co Greg`S Building
1 Booth Street Manchester M2 4DU

So still may not be doom & gloom than

Thar company is another one in serious trouble. Companies are not registered there unless it is doom and gloom. People are in serious denial. DJM is in serious trouble.

This is a place where companies go to die.

Lets be honest here, DJmodels didn't/doesn't have the money to produce its own products hence all the crowdfunding so why would Dave spend money on business premises when so many are waiting for his products? More bad business management? I don't think so.

However that company is shown as 'In administration' at Companies House (together with their accounts overdue and confirmation statement overdue).

Is it really a surprise either?

There's not been a lot to show for the Class 92 project over a long period of time and I certainly was not going to hand over any more money without seeing more progress. It looks like the APT will be dead too, and I say that as a backer of both

Yes, definitely some perspective here, it's not purely a shared office space which Dave is registering (why the hell would he focus on that anyway), it says "CG & Co", who are very clearly in the business of turnaround, administration and liquidation.

If anybody is interested in what C. Greggs do have a look at this link and expand the number of entries to 100
