That's the GOOD side of the coach, the other side, which was next to the sea wall at St. Leonards, was pretty much just a lot of rust covered in tarpaulins and more parcel tape. More bogie pics here too Paul.

Mr_Tilt
You can tell from those pics I took at Walthamstow what a SUPERB job Shane, and Mark now too, have done with Hastings over the last few years. Magic stuff. 1 1

Mr_Tilt
Just thank your lucky stars we never fitted it with HK brakes Paul. Think of all the WRONG ways you could have arranged the hoses................

pwr
Looks to me that the axle box assembly is the same as on the original SA bogies. I still find it amazing that this vehicle survived! Paul R
Mr_Tilt
Yes, the axle box assembly on the SA, E1T and H4X bogies were pretty much the same as each other. The main exception was the provision for HK brake hoses on one end of some axles on the E-Train's bogies.
apt-e
Morning all, Hopefully get the H4x bogies finished today. Stay safe Paul.
apt-e
Test fitted to its bogies for the first time. Got some things to check and alter a little. Nothing glued, bogie ride height, positioning all needs looking at. This was just to get an idea of the near finished Lab 4. Paul. Bogies now in final position and mounted. Stay safe Paul. Edited March 8, 2021 by apt-e 3 2
