APT POP TRAIN Kit (under design & construction)

Is that the Mk III Tilt Pack and air spring compressor you've got in the A end now? :clapping:

May we have a closer look at them please?

I can't see the tilt jacks on the H4Xs at the moment either..... ;)

Some very close shots of a Tilt pack, compressor, electrical cabinet and the all important coffee machine....

Made the tilt pack and compressor just look the part, as the real versions are just about impossible to print.  Worked off your drawings to get ideas Mr Tilt, again thank you very much.

Paul have you tried printing the smaller parts on your resin printer

Hi, yes I have but the shape of some of the parts causes it to fall off the base or warping.  The planet resin I have to use is the problem, so for now, not going to use it.

They are so small but the fdm can do the job without the issues.  0.01 level does ok for the internal detail required.

Once I get somewhere to use the photon s with normal resin, I will switch to that.  I have tried it and got to work OK.

Price and time is an issue though.....

Regards

Paul.

Looks great.  I’ve built the POP train and just finished the HSFV; both being great kits and a real pleasure to build, so I’m looking  forward to building the Hastings.

Thank you very much Colin.

Hi All,

I am pleased to announce the pre order book is now open for LAB 4 Hastings in 00 gauge.

The model costs £58 inc P & P.

Model includes :

Standard coupling for Hornby / Bachmann

Detailed interior and exterior.

2 x H4x bogies with Bachmann 12mm brass turned wheels  (1:76)

This model is down to the information and great photographs from Mr Tilt, Shane Wilson, John KS and Mark Miller.   Great stuff people.

Model is unpainted but fully detailed.

All models printed to order.   Each model takes around 27 hours to print, due to the number of parts and large size of some parts).

Anyone interested please email me at :

I will keep the pre-order book open until Monday  so I can gauge an idea on how many wheel sets to order.

Regards

Paul

Hi All,

Thanks for all the pre-orders.  I have now ordered enough wheels to cover all these, and plenty of spares.

I will drop each person an email when the kits are ready.

Anyone still wishing to order a Lab 4 model can still do so at :

Leadleykits@gmail.com

Stay safe

Regards

Paul

Amazing stuff Paul, VERY well done. :clapping:

Somehow it's bizarre seeing more than ONE Hastings Coach when I know for sure that we only did one of them.

Thanks Mr Tilt.  None of this would have been possible without your input.

First batch of kits should be ready next week, YAY.  :D
