Just needs some pink paint ;)

Hello there,

I think you will find this is far more appropriate, although it would appear that the paint used in the video is more suitable for second class.

Hi Paul

These look great, I think I'm in the market for a POP1 train when the pressure on the credit card eases a bit.  I take it these are now made-to-order?
Can I make a request please.

As the Genesis kits seem to be unavailable now, how about a 3D-print 252 HST cab for cut-and-shut with a Hornby 43 for the test trains as seen in these pictures (unless anybody knows where the Genesis kits can be obtained)APT_Pull2.jpg

Yes, all models are made to order.  I think the hst cab is not a bad idea.  I will add it to the list of prototypes. Thanks for the suggestion.

Hi All,

I am pleased to announce that the order book is now open for the new style original Hornby APT-P extra coaches.

If you cannot run to purchasing the new Hornby model, now is the time to add those extra coaches without doing a cut and shut.

If interest is enough, I will model the other coaches.

Prices are :

£35 for the intermediate (Trailer second) coach with Hornby style half bogie at each end.   Interior seats.   Coach Numbers    48201 – 48206

£44 for the buffet car (TRBS) with Hornby style half bogie at each end.   Buffet bar detail and interior seats.    Coach Numbers   48401 – 48406

£13 BT11 one part bogie.  (Needed if you want to put both new coaches together).   New half bogies can only be connected to original Hornby APT-P bogies.

or

£85 and you get all three.

All prices include P & P.

All include Hornby metal wheels and clear Perspex for main windows and frosted for the toilets.

All coaches include the new base versions with corrected vents and panels.  (Not shown in prototype models photos,  see last four photographs of these parts.)

Please email me at Leadleykits@gmail.com stating what you require.

All models made to order and no payment  is required until your order is ready to be dispatched.

Regards

Paul

Note:

00 PoP 2 model will be ready in a couple of weeks and the APT-P Unarticulated coach should be ready by the end of next week or so.

Hi All,

Stupid question, but does anyone know how to charge the name of a thread, as I want to change this to LeadleyKits instead of the POP train construction.

I feel like I have brain freeze......

Thanks

Paul

Hi all,

I started this thread ages ago with my first account linked to an email address that does not exist now. So I think I am going to make a new thread all for Leadleykits.

I will post the new link here when done.

Hope everyone moves over to keep an eye on what kits are coming.

Regards

Paul.

I’ll be watching to see what kits you make.  Would be nice to see one for this ....

I took the photo on the Wensleydale Railway last Sunday (I drove the Dalesbus services 830/829 from Lancaster to Bedale).  It  might be possible to use the sides from the 4mm scale kit of a Leyland National bus.

Hi Colin,

I have nearly started two railbusses from Hornby 142's and some Peco Leyland National bus kits. I might finish them off one day.

I have quite of few photographs of this contraption also.

That'll be HSFV4, the last of the single prototypes before they went into 'production' (if you can call 10 vehicles a production line...) with the Taperlite suspended HSFV5s.

They used HSFV4 for tests on the overhead on the Old Dalby Test Track, with a hydraulic actuator and power pack mounted on the roof, which vibrated the overhead vertically!

In passing, the HSFV5s were built at Shildon, of all places.

I think this is the last HSFV5 still about, at Ruddington when I saw it last in 2010.

As a historic vehicle I am surprised that the NRM never claimed this or the 140.
