Good evening!

Our first intake of stock for 2018 has arrived and is now available on our eBay page at: https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/c37lg/m.html

A summary of this can be found below:

post-33105-0-08673700-1516051465.png

It would have been more, but we reached our credit limit with Bachmann! Still, not a bad start to an ambitious year!

I would first of all like to take the opportunity to highlight our current offer on Bachmann's 37041 in BR Blue (Catalogue No.32-781B), which we are listing for just £100.75!

post-33105-0-98815000-1516054505.png

Now for the important bit:

Those of you who regularly follow us may notice that some of our prices have crept up since the new year, and sadly they will again over the next few months.

See, we are currently reviewing our prices against the competition as they made some changes last year that we chose not to follow. As you will be well aware, we have big ambitions this year, all whilst the bill for the work on 37003 creeps ever upwards (who'd own a 57 year old Loco?!) and so as a result we now need to reign in some of the more generous price advantages we offered before Christmas. Further to this, and somewhat unfortunately, Bachmann are increasing our prices by 2% from the 1st February (so if you want anything, do let us know by the end of this week so that we are invoiced before that date).

We have decided to show our postage costs on all the items so that we can manage future price rises of stock and postage independently and (most importantly) transparently. This will actually have the effect that some stock prices will come down for those of you that make multiple purchases.
Additionally, to maximise our income this year (and thus our funding for Project 3-60) we are asking our customers to consider paying by bank transfer, so please bare this in mind if you are making a purchase with us.

On a slightly more positive note, in 2018 we will be expanding our range of pre-order items, and these can be found on our website at http://www.c37lg.co.uk/shopmain.aspx?category=models (Please keep checking for updates).

Also, as ever, we are still very much accepting special requests and these can be made by either a message through RMweb, eBay or direct to sales@c37lg.co.uk

We appreciate that this isn't the most welcome of announcements that we could be making, however, we want to assure you that whilst our prices have been tweaked slightly, we are still striving to be your number one choice, offering you the same great service at a competitive rate.

And at the end of the day, it all goes to a good cause!

If you have any questions, do feel free to ask us.

As ever, thank you for supporting us in our endeavours. We wouldn't be where we are without you!

Kind regards

James

We've updated our Bachmann stock list over on eBay. It's only a small intake this time, but you know the adage about great things and small packages!

Don't just take my word for it - Give it a look for yourself over at: https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/c37lg/m.html

Remarkable prices for the diesel loco's especially for the 66's incl. the DCC Sound version 32-733DS, it's actually £4.95 cheaper than a certain forthcoming Ltd. Edition DB Red 66 (if you incl. extra logos) without sound.

Hope you continually sell all your stock and keep up the wonderful pricing.

Thank you for those kind words.

We try to price competitively, as it would be very easy to try and make as much as we can off each item, but end up with a lot of dusty stock!

The other important factor is to make sure that the time and effort our volunteers expend in providing this service is rewarded with an appropriate profit. So we tend to work on a fixed margin with only a casual nod to what the competitors may be doing. This should normally result in "attractive" pricing.

Thanks again.

Martin.

Very excited to say we have three of these rather fetching looking items for general sale, having fulfilled our pre-orders. Hopefully we will be getting some more if you are not lucky enough to grab one.

That's OK classy52. As a very small player, we never know what we are going to get, vs. what we asked for until it arrives, or how much we are going to charge!

Hopefully we will tempt you again with something in the future.

Martin.

Well, as they say in the cartoons

"That's all folks"

Bachmann are all out of 66779s, so we won't be getting anymore. Sorry!

It looks like the days of getting a second, or even third bite of the cherry are behind us, and we need to review our ordering strategy and thus credit limit with Bachmann!

Cheers

Martin.

Wow have Bachmann seriously allocated all their 'Evening Star' Sheds, out of curiosity how many do they make or would that be a trade secret?

I've no idea Classy. Starting to wonder it's less than they used to, and certainly less than they should! With the Colas 70 sold out as well, we are going to end up with only a few of those to.

Cheers!

Just a quickie, that doesn't sound right, are you going to be setup at the London Ally Pally Exhibition in March?

On another thread that’s why the colas 37/70 don’t appear in the 2018 catalogue as they too are sold out at Bachmann.

It seems these days you need an algorithm to work out when to buy stuff as if you casually decide later you want something it’ll be gone

Not this year I am afraid.

Our volunteer's free time limits the number of events we can attend in any month, and March's Sales Team pass out is a trip to support the Diesel Gala at our home railway, the Mid-Norfolk.

We have asked for a healthy number of the Colas loco's, and fingers crossed the algorithm says we can have them.....

Luckily our representaive at Barwell is very good to us, and we have had a lengthy discussion about future products and their availability this week, which should put us in good stead for 2018.

If we are not the number one supplier of Bachmann Class 37's by the end of the year, I will be very disappointed!

Cheers!

Martin.

Good evening everyone.

A bit of a marmite announcement tonight, having read a lot of the reactions elsewhere!

We have two of the Anglian liveried 47714's (Bachmann 32-817 SD), and are unsure whether to put them in our shop, or just take them over to Norfolk with us in a few weeks to sell during the Mid Norfolk Railways Spring Diesel Gala.

If anyone is hankering for one. I see they are going for RRP and above in the general market. But we don't play that game!

For £145 including P&P it can be yours. (we will ask for payment via bank transfer on this one to save the PayPal fees)

If you are interested. Please drop us an email. sales@c37lg.co.uk

Sorry I don't have an official picture of it from Bachmann to post. Can't find one anywhere, and we prefer not to open our boxes.

Cheers!
Martin.
